Her eyes were drowning from tiredness. She couldn't handle the fact she was moving.
New home. New friends....To be honest she was scared.
While her mother was driving, violet just stared out the rainy window. Drawing a heart on the flogged glass, listening to 'home' by 'Cavetown.'
She count the cars as the past on by. To kept her boredom under control. She hated the fact she was leaving. But she pushed that over her head.
It was dark enough for car headlights, violet squint her eyes at the sudden light.
She looked at her watch, and realized she been in the car for aleast 6 hours now.
Violet was tired, so she took her cover out of the box next to her named "violet's room."
It was a fluffy gray blanket. She remembered the day her grandma got it for her on Christmas, violet can still smell that day on the blanket.
She took one last sniff at the blanket. Before laying her head on the pillow that's against the window, she closed her eyes. The song just now ended, then 'fake you out' by 'twenty one pilots.'
She closed her eyes tighter, Remembering her old friend "Jane" use to love this song. Ever single sleepover they had, they danced the night away to it.
But she realize she gone to, yeah they could text or call. FaceTime, but that didn't make violet feel the same.
The sunlight from the window woke Violet up, she seen the pink and orange lookin sky. Made her feel like Nostalgia memories like, took over her.
Violet enjoying the sunlight on her bare fingertips.
Her mother's voice broke her from her enjoyable moment. "Hey sweetheart, we're almost there 2 more miles." Violet rolled her eyes, "Momma I still don't understand why we had to move. I felt happy where we were. I don't understand why we had to pack at the last second.... and why I have to go to a different school, had to leave all my friends behind... And........" "Not another word Vi, I told you princess I got a new job and that I get paid triple the money. Don't you want more cool stuff like a normal teenager?" Her mother said while stopping her.
"Normal teenager? Mom I am a normal teenager already. I'm 16 years old, I can take care of my self. And stop calling me princess I grown outta that."
Her mother look throw the rear view mirror. She frowned, "When you turn 18, then come back to me. Your still my little girl. You little shit..." her mother joked. "MOM!!" Violet said while laughing hard. Her mother joined.
"We're here.." her mother said while turning the car off.
"You ready.. to see your new home.?" Vi's mother said looking in the rear view mirror. Violet nods and gave a small smile, before opening the backseat door.
Violet got out of the car. One foot in the car, "woah.. mom you went overboard, Don't you think..." vi said.
"You like it..?" Amber said, her mother.
"No....... Cause I love it...shit... look at it, it's huge."
"A... watch your mouth young lady." She jokingly yelled, cause violet was running in the house. "So where's my room at..?" Vi said excitedly. "Any room you want.." Amber said.
"REALLY..!!" Vi said. Amber nodded.
Violet didn't spare no time, ran up the stairs and opened each room.. until she found one that felt comfortable.. she knew it was the one.
Time skip..________________________
"VIOLET!! Time for dinner.!!" Amber her mother yelled. "OKAY!!" Violet said finish unpacking, one last box left. Named "violets Art supplies."
Violet ran down stairs "Really mom dinner at 7:48?"
Vi laughed. Her mother laughed as while, "chicken salad tonight... thinking pizza tomorrow..." her mother finish, violet smiled.
This isn't as bad as she thought.
Her mother put a record in the recorder player.
And the first song that played was "Crazy" be "Aerosmith."
It was her father's favorite before he died..
Amber saw violets sad smile. "Do you miss him..?" Violet said.
"Of course I do, everyday." Her mother respond.
The rest of the dinner they laughed and told funny story's and talk about future plans about the house.
Violet felt actually happy, and home...
It was after dinner and violet took a relaxing shower, made her bed. She couldn't believe she already unpacked... she didn't know what to do.. only a couple weeks until school starts up.
So she thought she would just listen to her music and get on her computer and watch couple movies.
After hours, she finally decided to go to bed.
She rolled over, her dark purple hair hiding her face.
This is really her new beginning....
