"Who..?"
"Dabi! He was just here!" You ripped your hand out of Hawks grip before looking around the hallway.
"Are you okay? Did he hurt you?" Hawks asked worried still by the front door, but you turned to him with an angry look.
"You said I was safe here.. That there was no way to get in here and that nobody knew about this" you said, you were feeling mixed feelings, anger, confusion, sadness.
"You were.." Hawks said with a soft voice as he looked at the ground, he was clearly having a hard time and everything was falling on him at the same time.
"Did he hurt you?" Hawks asked once more.
"No.. I wouldn't have let him", you said and walked back to Hawks, you lifted his head up to look at you.
"What do we do now? He knows you have me" You asked the hero the same question he had been asking himself all this time.
"Don't worry, I'll handle it!" Hawks said with a reassuring smile that he was used to making at this point. He took a hold of your hand that was still holding his face.
"Go pack.. I'm taking you to my house" Hawks said suddenly.
"What?!" You yelled out, the shock was written all over your face. Being at his spare apartment was way different than living in his own apartment.
"You heard me! I clearly need to protect you better, and this location isn't safe anymore!" Hawks explained while shoving you back inside the apartment.
"Fine, I guess I'm moving.. At least I get to fly around a bit.." you muttered as you walked in to your bedroom to collect everything. Meanwhile Hawks looked through the apartment to find out what way Dabi could have gotten in.
It didn't take you long to pack up the few things you had brought with you there. Hawks took your bag from you and the two of you headed out to the roof.
The moment you stepped through the door to the roof you felt a water drop on your skin.
"Fuck! I can't fly if it starts raining harder.." You said as you stepped back under the cover.
"We don't have time for this, come on" Hawks said and held his hand out.
"You've carried me one too many times, just catch me if I fall!" You said and ran past Hawks and jumped of the building. Hawks panicked, he quickly ran and jumped after you, ready to dive as fast as he could in case you were falling.
Few stories down he saw your beautiful fire wings, apparently little rain wouldn't hurt but he would make sure to be close to you in case it started raining heavily.
"Lead the way hero!" You yelled and flew higher to be closer to Hawks, but you still kept your distance so you wouldn't burn him with the heat from your quirk.
Hawks flew ahead most of the time but he kept his eyes on you to make sure you wouldn't fall. He noticed how your wings were smaller than when you left the apartment.
The rain was getting heavy and you had a lot of trouble keeping your body hot enough for the water to vaporize so you could keep up your wings.
"Are we there soon?" You asked Hawks who was flying in front of you.
"Are you getting tired? I can carry you the rest of the way!" Hawks said with a smirk as he turned to fly backwards so he could face you. You nodded to the hero and deactivated your quirk so he could catch you.
