Around the same time that this conversation was going on, Fitz was sneaking around. He saw Simmons arrive at the lab and walk away with Coulson, and he was suspicious. He couldn't follow them, but he saw them enter Coulson's office. He walked out the lab and looked around, and out of the corner of his eye, he saw a woman in a hazmat suit leave a room and close the door.
Jumpily, he glanced around to see that nobody was looking, and then snuck into the room.
It was dark, with high walls and a table in the middle. On the table was the only light source; A purple glowing stone on the table. It was odd, it was almost as if he recognised it from somewhere...
Fitz reached out a hand towards it, and gently touched the side of the metal. He pulled back instantly; it was boiling hot. He looked at his hand, and was frozen for a minute. A laugh from the corridor woke him up, and he jumped. He quickly turned and turned the door quickly, not looking at the stone that was glowing even brighter.
