Chapter 1 Invisable
"Erin Chism!"
I groaned and stood up, feeling everyones eyes suddenly turning to me. A few snickers came from the back. But I ignored them. I had learned to in the last three years.
I walked to the front of my class, and began my speech. While I droned on, I looked around at my classmates.
The first person who caught my eye, was Rebecca. She was trying to put me off, by doing sickening faces, and giving me the finger.
I rolled my eyes and as usual, she didn't put me off. She used to be one of my clostest friends. But she believed the rumous, and slowly diffted away to being my enemy.
"Thank you for listening." I finished.
The class stayed silent. Only one sound could be heard. The teachers claps. No one else congratulated me. They either rolled their eyes, or glared at me.
If only Bailey was in this class. Maybe she would have clapped for me.
But then again, maybe not. Even my best friend was starting to drift away.
Just last week, she had lunch with Rebecca's crew. Leaving me alone to have lunch at the dumpsters.
Since then, she's been more distant. I invited her to mine on Friday, she said she had plans. Later that day, I saw her in costa with Rebecca and Claire, laughing like there was no tomorrow.
She had also changed a lot in that week.
On Wednesday she wore pink. She never wears pink. It turns out Rebecca was doing a mean girls quote. "On Wednesday we where pink" where her exact words.
On Thursday, she snogged Drake from two years above us. They where now going out. Did she tell me? No.
Because Im not cool enough to be her friend anymore. I don't gossip, no one likes me, and I sit at the dumpsters for lunch. Who would want to be friends with a loser like me?
I shut my locker furiously, tears springing in my eyes. I wasn't getting stronger, I was getting weaker.
I winced at the pain from my wrists as I was pushed against my locker.
"Hello, loser." The voice spat.
I whimpered and tried getting out of her grasp, but it was useless. She was too strong.
"Leave me alone." I begged.
Something told me though, that she wasn't the person to try puppy eyes on.
"Becca? What are you doing?" Another voice had popped out from infront of us.
Rebecca loosened her grip around my neck, and we both turned to look at who dared speak.
It was Bailey. She had a shocked look on her face, and fear in her eyes. Of course. Bailey didn't know the real Rebecca Styles.
"B-Bailey!" Rebecca smiled sweetly. But for the first time in her life, she looked.. scared.
Like she was just about to loose a close friend. Hopefully she would.
Bailey sighed and glared at me. What? What had I done wrong? Wasn't Becca the one Bailey should be glaring at? Not me?
"Erin, you should know now to not wind Rebecca up." Her voice was cold and sharp.
"Yeah Erin." Becca smirked, linking arms with Bailey. "Lets go Bails."
I felt like being sick all over her smug face. Bails? Really? I watched them walk away, then sighed and put my school bag over my shoulder. I walked through the group of boys, ignoring the hate and pretending to not hear anything they said.
