phase one: remembering something that never happened
「答え:時間に戻り、あなた自身を救いなさい」

The words, remember your mission, were tattooed on (y/n)'s thigh like a nasty, pale/pink scar that wouldn't go away. A deep voice sent shivers down her spine even though she was alone in a field of untrimmed grass, flying insects, and pops of yellow coming from overgrown dandelions. "Remember your mission," The voice spoke inside her head before a deafening ring resonated in her ear drums. No matter how many times it was repeated, she couldn't bring herself to remember what happened. Nothing came to mind; it was like it was wiped clean. Her memories were a canvas that was painted over with white-- a pale fade of her past life

"Where am I?" She asked aloud, her voice scratched against her dry throat. She let out a cough, then stared at the side of her middle finger. In dark ink, it stained her skin with the following, "No. Twenty-Four: Success." Weird, she thought.

(y/n) dusted the stray grass lingering on her long dress, it was made from a shabby, tattered fabric that itched. The end of the skirt and sleeves were frayed, yet flowed gracefully. The elastic sewn in cinched her waist, defining her body a little more. Strands of (h/c)-colored locks stuck to her sweaty face, the sun didn't help cool her down either.

From a near distance, she could hear the gallops of horse shoes stomping on a dirt trail and prideful grunts from men echoed off of the trunks of thick trees. Horses' neighs neared her at a daring speed, her first instinct was to hide. She did just that.

(y/n) rushed behind a well-grown oak tree with a sturdy stump and a massive amount of thriving leaves. Just two yards away, a parade of men equipped with suits of armor rode by her on their beautiful stallions. She was hidden by the vegetation that separated her from the -what she assumed to be- knights.

A nagging feeling told her that this isn't the world she belongs in, but she couldn't place her finger on it. I need a cellphone, she thought with a deep sigh, however, she didn't know who to call.

The thundering footsteps of the horses stopped, and then she heard, "Halt! Everyone quiet!" Alarmed, she placed a hand over her mouths, pressing her fingers against her lips. Her quickened heartbeat pounded in her eardrums. She started to feel lightheaded.

"Who goes there? Reveal yourselves!" A clunk thumped against the ground, a knight hopped off of his white-coated beast. The metal reflected the sun into her eyes abruptly, so she tightly shut her eyes and -with her other hand- she extended it outward to block the ray of light. The subtle movement caused her palm to brush against a nearby bush, all heads snapped towards her hiding spot. The knight not on his horse drew his weapon; (y/n) knew this because the blade dragging against the sheath was deafening.
