Adora though? She ain't even betting on Economics.

"Then what are you gonna after?"

That question excites the girl. After that soulless sketch, she is gleaming just by the thought of what she's gonna say.

"You already know my future belongs with YAGJA. But that's not everything I'm doing," she drops her phone despite the incoming messages and looks closely at Jungkook. "Have you heard of KYNC?"

It sounds familiar, but Jungkook can't really pinpoint so he shakes his head.

"Okay whatever, it's a music company. It's been seven months since I'm interning for one of their producer oppas," she squeezes her shoulders to her neck. "They might be hiring me by the year-end if I'm good enough."

"Wow, noona!" Now Jungkook breaks into a toothy smile, which reinforces his friend's happiness. "You're actually nailing it! How come you never told us?"

"I don't know," she tries waving it off, but it's clearly a big deal to her. "So yeah, I'm working hard to learn as much as I can so that they'll consider me when the time comes. I should be good if I drop out, right?"

"Oh–pffsh, obviously!" Jungkook does all he can to show her his support. "Ditch school, noona. You got this. Go become a producer."

Jungkook can see joy all over her reaction, in her starry eyeballs, in the way she doesn't hesitate to smile anymore. He believes that Adora is someone special, he really does. He doesn't even need to see the future to know that she is going to become someone big. And maybe that day, he is going to remind her this conversation they had under the umbrella of a convenience store table, when they sealed her future with sparks of hope.

Meanwhile, Adora gets distracted by her phone again. After scrolling promptly for a few seconds, she lets out a sigh, locking her phone yet unable to stop staring at it.

"You're a guy, right? You would know."

Jungkook clears his throat, threatened for no reason (maybe).

"What?"

Adora looks up.

She collects herself, pushing aside the cup that's empty of the noodles. She looks full and satiated now, and more in the mood to talk too. After brushing her hair strands to the side, she lays her arms to the table.

"I'm just curious about something," she blinks seriously. "Let's say you are in a relationship with someone, okay?"

Ah, it's gonna be one of those conversations.

Jungkook is not sure if he is the person to come for dating advice, considering his lifeless past but he is still willing to give her the JK-perspective, as he'd like to name it. He bets he'd be a great representative for the guys, anyway.

"And it's not like you guys just started dating, no! Not at all. You guys have like, you've known each other for five years and you've been dating for two years, okay?"

Jungkook nods just out of fear that she'll grow more passionate if she isn't sure Jungkook's on board. He is still invested by all means though. He wants to know where this is going.

"He went abroad for Masters, because he is a career guy. It's been like 4 months since we haven't seen each other in person. And absence is not making the heart grow fonder," she shakes her head through the last part, her eyes falling down and lips pressing in. She isn't even pretending to not own the story anymore. This is her.

Jungkook knows someone who is in love-related pain when he sees them. He doesn't even need to hear more to know how much of it she is in, because there is no mild for heartbreak.
