The hour of collision.
The hour of love sick tears, intertwining with the depths of sadness.
The hour of excitement.
The witching hour. Lock your doors and pull up the covers. The terrible thoughts in your mind become reality, as the darkness settles in. You're all alone again. Give in to the temptations. The knife is calling your name and the noose is hanging pretty.
Adrenaline still pumping as you lie awake. Tomorrow grows near. Exciting possibly, intimidating for sure. The long debate. Should I stay awake, or snag away the few hours I can? Your mind is full of dreams.
Your mind becomes a demon. Fear rattles your sanity. The darkness gets to you, just like a child. What's in that darkness? Couldn't be a monster, when the monster is inside me. Your nightmares are alive, little child. Your blanket can't save you now.
Gentle rain hits your window sill. Soothing winds whisper goodnight. Peacefulness ricochets inside your chaos. Is the devil watching, or maybe I've found my angel? Push aside the demons. Enjoy your heavenly hour.
3am, what do you bring me tonight? Do I even dare to stay awake? Sometimes you bring me roses. Other times you bring me ghosts. And sometimes you're just empty. What is it about you, 3am, what is it?
