Characters and Their Backgrounds

Main Characters:

Joan- She grew up in a small town with her mom and her older brother Darren. She is 17 years old. When she was 13 she was in a car accident with her dad, he didn't make it. Ever since then her family moved around a lot because her mom couldn't hold a job.

Aria- Joan's best friend, they write to each other every day and talk on the phone as much as they can. Aria is 17 and shares her birthday with Joan. Aria has the perfect home life. She has an older brother named Jake and a younger sister named Emily, she has two loving parents who are very successful and both have accumulated great wealth.

Molly- Molly is Joan and Darren's mother. She is very opinionated and paranoid. She has a hard time keeping a job and results in packing up the family and moving away. She hides a lot more than she lets on, especially when it comes to her late husband's death. As well as anything revolving around their family's ancestry. Molly wears her mystery very well.

Darren- Joan's older brother. He is 21 and his best friend is Jake. Darren has a very rambunctious and outgoing personality type. He likes the party life and is not afraid to show it. Darren doesn't really mind all the constant moving for he adapts rather quickly. He is not around often so Molly and Joan are always picking up his extra slack and responsibilities around the house.
