Defair- A love story

Chapter one

Defe POV

I was taking a walk along the beach, just watching the sunset into the horizon, as I felt a cool breeze ruffle my pink and blue hair.

I thought nothing of it at first, as I had assumed it was just windy, but the I quickly came to realize that the trees around me weren't moving along with the "wind".

I stopped in my tracks, thinking, this has to be the wind from me walking.

But as I stopped, the wind continued to ruffle my hair, stronger then before. "What the hell is going on?"

I mutter to myself, seriously questioning my sanity. I started to hear a faint whisper in my ear, saying things I couldn't understand.

Suddenly, I felt my beanie get blown off my head, and as I turned around to try and get it back, I saw a girl.

She had long, brown hair that almost reached her butt, and wore a pleated dress covered in a subtle flower pattern.

"Hi!" The girl said, walking towards me. I looked down at her hand, and saw that she was holding my hat.

"You dropped this a while ago and i've been trying to tell you, but you walk really fast!"

She sounded pretty genuine, so I started to walk forward, hand outstretched for my hat.

Once we were standing right in front of each other, I attempted to grab my hat. Before I could grab it, she lifted it in the air, above my head where I couldn't reach.

"Hey, what the hell?!" I practically shouted, jumping to try to reach the hat.

She giggled, and I jumped again but this time, I stumbled and fell forward, onto the girl.

Me and the girl fell, with me on top of her. Our faces were inches apart, and I could feel my face go red.

Her face was flushed a light shade of pink as well, and as I stared into her eyes, I felt myself smile. Those beautiful brown eyes... "Uh-" she started, and I was snapped out of my trance.

"Right, sorry" I chuckled, as I got untangled from her. We both stood up, still feeling a bit awkward about what just happened. "

"H-here's this" she laughs, her face getting redder by the second. "Heh, thanks," I smile, "What's your name by the way? Mines Defe."

You idiot! I thought to myself, silently praying I could just disappear. After what just happened, there is no way this isn't awkward!

"Oh-uh, my names Oxy! Nice to meet you Defe." She giggles and continues, "I've gotta run, but maybe I could get your number?" Wow, shes smooth, I thought to myself, then agreed.

We exchanged numbers and went our separate ways, and I didn't stop thinking about her the entire way home.

Damn, I thought, she was probably one of the sweetest people I've ever met! I walked onto my street, and saw my house standing at the end.

Once I finally got to my house, I went inside to see my mom sitting on the couch, looking like she was waiting for me.

"Where the hell have you been?!" She sounded concerned. "I have been waiting here for so long, you're past curfew!"

I checked the clock on my phone, and it was indeed, past curfew. By 25 minutes! "Mom, it's 25 minutes it's not the end of the world!" I exclaimed, a bit angry that she would think that it's that bad!

"Whatever, just go to your room!" she looked at me expectantly. "Now!?" I took the hint and walked towards the stairs.

Before I went upstairs, I decided to get some food, as I hadn't eaten all day.

I looked through the fridge, praying that I could find something that I would want to eat.

I soon spotted a box of leftover pizza, and just took the whole box upstairs since it didn't feel like there was much in the box.

I got up to my room, and immediately went onto my computer to talk to my boyfriend, Sammy.

But before I grabbed my laptop, I opened the pizza box and grabbed 2 big slices. I then grabbed my laptop from off my desk, and went straight to Discord.

I went onto my Discord server first, to see what people are doing.

hello! I typed, not expecting an answer since it was kinda dead at the moment. But then I looked at the bottom of my screen and saw the several people are typing..... Message, and soon the chat was flooded with defeeee, and heyy!

how is everyone?? I ask, patiently waiting for answers. Everyone responded with a different version of i'm good wbu? I responded with a simple i'm good! and left it at that.

After that, I texted Sammy. We texted for around an hour, then we talked in the server with everyone, until my mom came in and told me I had to go to sleep.

I waited for my mom to leave my room, and turn off the hallway light.

I climbed out my window and out onto my roof, taking out my phone once I sat down. As I sat on the roof, texting my friends, I remembered Oxy gave me her number.

I went into my contacts, contemplating texting her.

As I was about to text her, I got a notification saying Hi! it's Oxy, this is Defe right? My cheeks flushed a light red, as I replied. no this is patrick! I typed, but it sounded wrong. So I typed again.

yeah aha. how are you?? Yeah. That seems right. I sent the message, immediately regretting answering so soon.

My regret turned into surprise, as she answered in around the same time I did.

i'm not doing too bad, hru? My heart fluttered a bit, every time she answered. It didn't feel right though, as I had a boyfriend.

We talked for hours, and even though I still felt my heart warm every time she answered, there was still that pit in my stomach, knowing that I shouldn't be thinking about her like this.

It's just because I've just met her. I thought to myself. I'm just nervous because we've just met.

But I knew in my heart that wasn't true, I just didn't want to admit it.
