Friends Pt.2

Ryu looked around cautiously.

"But...not here. Follow me."

Before you could object he began to pull you along, outside the structure and into the woods.

"Ryu, where are we going???"

Ryu didn't say anything.

"Ryu....?"

Finally you stopped.

The two of you were in front of a large lake with a waterfall that looked to have a cave in it.

"I...I know this must seem strange but...I needed to be sure we were alone."

"U-Uh...okay..."

You responded nervously.

What did he need to talk about?

His hands found your upper arms, squeezing them affectionately.

"Y/n."

You looked up at him, your heart skipping a beat.

"I...I wanted to say that the other day...well it wasn't a mistake."

"What...what do you mean??"

Ryu hesitated.

"You...I wanted to- I don't know how to say this but... You make me feel strange, Y/n. Every time I'm around you I just feel...complete yet not. I like just being around you but the thought of only being your friend makes my chest feel tight."

Interlacing the fingers of his right hand with your left, he pulled you close once again, looking upon your eyes with intensity.

"Ryu...."

"Y/n.....I want to be more then your friend."

Feeling the smirk grow on your face, you couldn't stop yourself.

"Oh.... so my best friend?"

Ryu scoffed, trying to fight the smile that was creeping in before giving in and chuckling at your absurdity.

"Y/n. Why?"

"Cause it's funny. And I couldn't miss the chance."

"But in all seriousness....I'm love with you, Y/n."

Silence.

Your heart beat against your chest as though it was attempting escape.

"Ryu...I think I feel the same."

You mumbled softly, standing on your tiptoes in preparation for what was to come, hinting for Ryu to go ahead.

Ryu only hesitated briefly, capturing your lips in a searing kiss.

You nibbled his lips gently in response, managing to surprise Ryu with your playful Reciprocation.

By the time you managed to pull away you were quite breathless.

Smiling against his lips you mumbled.

"So...does this mean we don't have to train today....?"

Ryu narrowed his eyes.

"Y/n..."

You batted your eyes innocently before leaning forward and whispering into his ear.

"Perhaps we could just go for a swim....that counts as exercise, doesn't it?"

"But...Y/n we don't have swimsuits..."

Ryu replied.

You gave a mischievous grin before whispering again.
