A boy who recently got his heart broken have his friends around... and also, a girl who crushed on him. They all strived to help him recover from such heartache.

"We're all here for you, Lei. We can go , the four of us..." Jerry suggested.

"Yeah, sure." Lei sadly replied.

Janine casually tapped Lei's shoulder. Jerry cringed at the sight but he let it be. The last thing that his broken-hearted bestfriend wants would be a fight just because of a girl.

"Help yourself out, Lei. You did your part---" She was cut off when Lei pulled her into a hug. Since she was standing next to him, she fell on top of his lap.

"Lei..." The lady awkwardly says.

"Stay, Jan. Please..." Longing was evudent in his eyes. Janine melted more.

"I will, I promise." She said, disregarding the uneasy feeling.

But that was it. Even if Vaness and Ken attempt to stop what's about to go down, they know Jerry's feelings are unstoppable.

Janine was an understatement of shock when Jerry pulled her by the arm. "You can't do this, Lei."

Holding her in his arm, Jerry tugged Janine behind his body. Lei sadly smirked. "What's so wrong? I'm single, so is she. I don't see anything foul here."

Jerry closed his eyes tight. He breathed deeply. "Yes you are, Lei, but you can't go around and fool with girls' hearts. You know how they'd do everything just to be with someone like you... but you can't take advantage of that." Jerry stated as calm as possible. The three in the room seemed really impressed by how he controls his temper.

"当然...也告诉自己." (Sure, tell that yourself too.) Lei replies in their native language. Janin seemed confused. Jerry flinched, so did the others.

"Should we call it a night? You must feel tired, Lei." Vaness killed the silence.

"We'll let you rest, bro. Just call us if you need anything." Ken seconded.

Jerry remained silent. Janine looked at Lei and just smiled tenderly. She's caring in nature and that's something that most people abuse... but she doesn't really care. She doesn't let it get the best of her.

"Janine..." Lei calls out. Janine was with the three guys when she turned around.

"L-lei? What are you doing?" Janine gasps as Lei hugs her gently.

"Can you come back here tomorrow?" Lei sweetly whispers in her ear. She gets ticklish all of a sudden. She tugged herself away the hug.

The lady feels like once again, she's in a situation that gives her limited options... and even if she cared for Lei the most, she can't bear with the thought that he's trying to use her.

"I want to go home." That was all she uttered.

"I'll take you home." Jerry took her by the hand. She let him pull her... but zhe felt a soft hand tugging from the opposite direction.

"You won't. I will." Lei opposed.

"Yo, guys. Can you not make this any more complicated?" Ken got frustrated.

"You know what? I'll commute." Janine held her hands up and walked out.

Jerry halts her. "Janine, wait up!"
 
Vaness gives a final look at Lei. "Look, man. I'm sorry you have to go through this---"

Lei interrupts. "You don't have to."

"You should at least let me finish." He expressed exasperation in his tone. "Like I've said, no one really deserves to  experience these kinds of things... but you can't just drag Janine into your mess. She's basically a sister to me. I wouldn't like to stick my nose in your business but this, whatever you're doing, is too foul." He shook his head in disappointment.

"What am I supposed to do?" Lei replies nonchalantly.

"Heal by yourself. Don't date until you're ready. Ladies can wait." Ken joins the conversation. After saying so, he heads out.

"Typical Ken." Lei comments.

Vaness taps him in the shoulder. "You know I don't ususally talk, right? Please don't waste the time I spent talking to you." Lei knew what it meant so he nodded.

"Good night, Lei." Vaness says goodbye.
 

When Lei was left with his own thoughts, he unwittingly says to himself, "I'll have her. One way or another."
