"Drop me off at home, I haven't seen my mate properly in weeks" Aiden and Marcus laugh

"Bro she isn't home, mum wanted a big family dinner and she wasn't going to go" I sigh nodding my head. I just wanted to sleep and rest with my mate, obviously she was mirroring how I felt but she has never been one to socialise when she didn't want to. The only way to get her to go to things was if you ordered her to and Aiden sure did

As we pull up, we smell the delicious scent of food while I also smell my mate that I've missed

I grab my spare key to our car out of my suitcase and place my things in the boot.

Dad can you distract your daughter for me? I link to him. I pull the ring out of my suitcase and smile down at it. Its now or never.

I see dad hugging her from behind and all I can feel is warmth through our bond

"There's my mate" I smile watching her eyes open as I kneel in front of her "My beautiful mate" Her lips tremble at the sight of me and I can't help but to let my eyes water as well. She moves to reach me but I stop her making her frown "Wait please"

I'm on both my knees in front of her before she can reach me once more, I pull the tiny box out of my pocket, opening it up for her eyes. She was never a fan of big jewellery, always simple and small yet elegant all at the same time

"I love you, I love you with everything I have" I take a deep breath "Mum and dad told me before you were born I never left her side when she was carrying you, now she understands why because our mate bond had started from a young age and until we were able to recognise what it truly was, we have always been close" I take her hand in mine and feel how they shake in my warmth "I left you once because I felt it was not our time, I wanted you to grow and experience life before you knew about what our bond meant and now I will never leave you again, will you marry me? When we are ready, of course in our own time and when we feel the time is right" I wasn't speaking just about marriage, I was speaking about a family

She nods her head with tears falling from her eyes. I smile taking the ring out of the box and placing it on her finger. She smiles at me once more before grabbing me at my collar and kissing me. I want more from her, so much more but that would have to wait

Troy is finally home and I couldn't be more happier. I stayed in his arms and near him the rest of the night often closing my eyes and breathing in his scent like he was doing to me.

We've been apart for a bit, looking at Aiden, I can't imagine what it is like for him to be away from Jasmine. I want to tell her that she is his mate but at the same time it's not for me to say

She's been so supportive of my relationship with Troy and here I am stopping from 2 people I love not be together. But she has things to do and he has as well. Like Troy said to me, in our time so it shall be for them.

I look down at the ring on my finger and smile, I feel Troys lips on my head and look up directing my smile at him

"You ready to go home?" He asks as I nod "You tired?" I nod my head again into his chest

"My workload is crazy right now and I'm just drained" I tell him and kiss his shoulder as he hugs me

"Come on then, I don't have to be at work until Monday so we can just chill out at home" I smile at his suggestion because once I wake up tomorrow, he's not going to be chilling out

I yawn a bit before Troy and I begin saying our goodnights to our family.
