Eventually, they were outside, and Minho led Jisung to a certain spot. It was the area where he would go to in order to calm himself down. There was a large tree that made the area shaded. Minho walked under the tree and sat down in the cool grass, with Jisung following suit. They sat there in awkward silence for a few minutes. He and Minho had somewhat made up, but now all of their work was in shambles.

"Why did it have to be you?" Jisung sulked. He was so excited to meet his soulmate, but once he found out it was Minho, that excitement diminished. "How am I supposed to know? It's not like I asked for this. I didn't even want to think about having a soulmate! It's all just so stupid." Minho groaned. "Now we're going to be stuck together for two weeks!"

"I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that when soulmates are connected, they are excused from school or work during the time they're connected to hang out." Minho mentioned. "Well, we're definitely not hanging out. We'll just go our separate ways and have two weeks off." He replied.

Jisung felt his phone vibrate. He pulled it out of his pocket and unlocked it. He had received a message from Felix. He said that he would give Jisung his gift tomorrow since this was going on. Jisung tried to reply, but it was hard for him to only use one hand. He pulled his other hand to use it. "Stop it!" Minho complained. "I can't type well with one hand, dumbass!" Jisung retorted. The older huffed in response.

The two of them were not making any progress. They had not tried to talk about anything so the string wasn't going to change any time soon. Minho eventually got fed up. "Okay, Jisung. Clearly, nothing is going to happen if we don't at least try to get along. It can't be that hard, right? I mean, it's not like we despise each other anymore, right?"

Jisung scrunched his nose. "Fine. Do you have any ideas? How the hell will the string know that we're getting along? Do I just have to say nice things to you like your hair looks decent today?" He rambled. After saying the so-called compliment, he looked down at their hands. Of course, it didn't work. "I'm pretty sure it has to be sincere, dumbass." The brunette snapped. "Who said that wasn't sincere?" Jisung retorted. Minho just glared at him.

"Well, I'm out of ideas then. Look up what to do then." Jisung told the older. "Fine." He sighed and pulled his phone out of his pocket. He had to use both hands so Jisung was complaining about the string being dumb. "It says we have to make up and get along and be sincere with our feelings in order for it to work." He told the latter. "Ugh, this is so frustrating. Who knew having a soulmate would be so annoying." He complained. "I'm not your soulmate!"

"Except, you literally are. Otherwise, this wouldn't be happening right now." Jisung replied. "Why the hell did it make us soulmates? I mean we do not get along in the slightest." The brunette questioned. "The string doesn't give a fuck if we like each other or not. Now, let's figure this out before the bell-" Before Jisung could finish his sentence, the bell rang. "Rings. Damn it. Now what are we going to do? I can't just go to your class."

"Well, we can talk to the principal and ask to be excused from school since we're soulmates." Minho suggested, fake gagging as he said they were soulmates. "We can try, I guess." Jisung agreed. The two of them entered the building and headed to the office. Jisung was tired of the backs of their hands touching so Jisung held Minho's hand. "W-what the hell are you doing now?" The brunette stammered. "It's more comfortable this way." Jisung replied.

They trudged into the office and walked up to the secretary. She barely had to look at them to know who they were. "Are you two in trouble again?" She asked. "Uh, no. But we do need to talk to the principal." Jisung answered. "Well, you're in luck! I'm here right now!" They heard the principal say from his office. They wandered into the office. "So, you two. What brings you to my offi- Oh my god!" He exclaimed, covering his mouth with his hand.

"You two, soulmates? I would've never guessed that in a million years! You're even holding hands! When I told you two to get along I didn't think it would end up like this!" He gushed. Jisung and Minho stood there awkwardly. "Yeah, um... about that..." Minho started. "We wanna go home! Since we're soulmates and all. We're allowed, right?" Jisung asked. "Oh, absolutely! Oh my god, this is so cute-" The principal cut himself off by clearing his throat. "I mean, of course. Just sign yourself out and let the secretary know the reason you'll be leaving." He told them.

The two boys thanked him, faces red because of embarrassment. They bowed in unison before scurrying out of the room. They quickly signed out and told the secretary the reason. She smiled and congratulated them for being soulmates, embarrassing them even more. They left the office quickly, not wanting any of that to go on any longer. "That was awful." Jisung let out a large sigh. Minho just nodded.

Jisung quickly texted his friends that they would be leaving the school, Minho doing the same. They walked out of the building, avoiding each other's gaze. "Shit, how're we gonna get home? And how are we going to split up?" Jisung suddenly asked. "Fuck, I didn't even think of that. One of us is going to have to go to one of our houses."

"We're going to my house." Jisung said quickly. "Why? I want to see my cats." the brunette complained. "Well, It's my birthday and I want my cheesecake. We'll figure it out later." Jisung finalized. "Fine. But how are we gonna get there?" He asked. "I'm going to have to call my mom." The blonde winced. "And she'll have to know about us being soulmates. I just know she will make a huge deal out of it." He whined. "Well, what other choice do we have? Just do it."

Jisung took a deep breath as he dialed his mom. He didn't realize he put it on speakerphone. He held it up to his ear. "Hello?" His mom answered, hurting his ears because of it being on speaker. He winced and pulled it away from his ear. "Hey, mom."

"Why are you calling at this time? You should be in class!"

"Well, actually... That's the thing. We were excused from class."

"What? Why? And who's we?"

Jisung cursed under his breath. "Uh, that doesn't matter. Can you pick me up?"

"Why? Did you get in trouble again? And It does so matter! Is it Felix? Hi Felix!"

"No, mom! It's not Felix."

"Well, who it is then?"

"It's um... My soulmate."

"Oh my goodness! You found your soulmate! Who is it? Do you like them? Do I already know them? Oh, I have so many questions!"

"Please mom, that's not important right now. You'll get to meet him when you get here."

"Oh, so they're a he! I'm so excited! I'm on my way, Jisungie!"

Before Jisung could even say goodbye, she hung up. He let out a huge breath. "She's so exhausting sometimes." He whined. "Why did you say soulmate? Couldn't you have just said it was me? What's she gonna think when she sees it's me? And Jisungie?" Minho snickered. "Shut up! If I hear you mention that nickname you're dead. If I did, she'd wonder why I am hanging out with you and try to bombard you with questions. I did you a favour. Plus, she wouldn't know why we're excused from class." He explained. "I guess that makes sense."

"Now, we just have to wait."
