CHAPTER 1

Audi Lauren suddenly wakes up upon hearing the snooze of her phone

"Darn! It's too early people!", she murmur when eyes are still shut and trying to reach her phone on the side table

Ringing...

Incoming Call
Lexus Ayden

"What?!", iritadong bungad nito sa kapatid

"Hey, Did I wake you up?", pambungad na sabi ni Lex sa kabilang linya

"Isn't it obvious, Lex. It's three in the morning for Pete's sake!", iritadong sagot naman ni Lauren

"Sorry, sis. Haha", natatawang sagot ni Lex

"So why you call?", tanong ni Lauren

"Because I think I found it! I'm here in Greece. Vampires are real, Audi.. They are!", excited na balita ni Lex

"What the hell are you talking about, Lex. And where are you again?", napakunot na noong tanong ni Lauren

"Greece. I'm in Greece!", excited na ulit ni Lexus

"Anong trip mo? What's your agenda there? I thought you're in New Orleans?", sunud-sunod na tanong ni Lauren

"I was. And actually I met some new guys there. Not so normal creatures and they gave me a tip about vampires in Greece.", kwento ni Lex

"Crazy, Lex! You're crazy!", medyo iritableng sagot ni Lauren

"I'm not, okay? Listen, Audi, I think I might have the answers in my questions in no time. And I think, our ancestors in our biological father's side isn't normal. I mean, that person.. the donor.. where we came from.. They're extraordinary, Audi.. They are..", tila hinihingal na kwento ni Lex

"Wait.. What are you saying? Are you running? Why are you catching your breath?", sunud-sunod na tanong ulit ni Lauren

Napabangon na ito sa higaan at bahagyang nakaramdam ng kaba dahil sa way ng pakikipag usap ni Lexus sa kanya

"I'm okay.. I'm just escaping from a feral.. Audi.. Find me, Audi.. Find me..", hinihingal na sabi ni Lexus

"Escaping from what?! What the hell is going on, Lex! Where are you exactly?!", napatayo na si Lauren at mas naramdaman nya ang kaba ng makarinig ng isang sigaw mula sa linya ng kambal

"Lex!", sigaw ni Lauren then the line cuts off "Damn! What the hell was that?!", bulong ni Lauren habang nakatitig sa screen ng phone

Paroon at parito ang lakad ni Lauren sa kanyang kwarto. Nag-iisip ng dapat gawin

Lauren tried to call Lexus' phone again. Several times. But no avail. There's no operator's prompt or anything. The line just keeps on disconnecting

"Damn it! What should I do?!", bulong nito sa sarili

Lauren checked the inbox in her phone and she just noticed some unread messages from Lexus

From: Lexus Ayden
Audi, I'm here in New Orleans. I found some interesting creatures. They're not human, Auds. But they're not harmful. Well.. Some of them at least.. But these creatures I've just met, I bet they're good and they're actually my friends now.

From: Lexus Ayden
Audi, I met a girl.. A priestess. She's pretty you know. But kinda naive. And I think she likes me 😁

From: Lexus Ayden
Her name is Nia by the way. I'm helping her in her journey to the White Tower. And actually, I'm not sure where is that place though. I can't even find it in the map but its okay. At least Nia's with me 😊
