  Chapter 1~

Mission: Georgie Denbrough

"Find any of those lost folk yet Y/N?," Your friend asks you.

"For the last time Matilda, they're not 'folk' they're children!"

You roll your eyes and pack your favorite shirt into your backpack. This was the last night you were going to be able to stay at this place. Your friend Matilda payed for your room for a week, but you decided it's time to provide for yourself.

"Well, whatever you say. But I still think you shouldn't keep this up. Yeah, saving kids is great and all but... You haven't had any luck so far... and I don't think you ever will. I'll pay for another week at the hotel so you can get a different job if you want?," Matilda gives you a worried glance.

"No, it's fine. I've already made my decision," You voice back her concerns.

"But where will you go?-"

"Don't worry about me. I'll be fine," You rest your hand on Matilda's shoulder.

She sighs and then hugs you.

"If you say so. But if you ever need me, you know where to find me."

Matilda leaves the room and you jump onto your bed, exasperated. Your last night in a nice hotel like this? You don't want to think about where you'd have to go tommorow. But it has to be done. You don't want to have to make Matilda do so much for you. Besides, living on the streets would provide you with a better chance at finding the missing children.

After you get ready for bed, you get comfortable under the warm covers. You're going to miss this place.

THE NEXT DAY 

You wake up at 1 pm and get ready for the day. After your morning routine, you equip your backpack filled with your stuff and wave goodbye to your hotel room.

You return the keys to the lady up front and step out of the hotel's doors. A whole new life is ahead of you. Including a new "mission" to try to resolve. Recently, a boy named Bill Denbrough has lost his brother. Everyone claims he's dead but Bill doesn't think so. So, he called you in secret providing a handful of savings if you can get his brother back.

Now you're on your way to meet him. His house isn't far from the hotel so you walk to his house. You arrive at his house and knock on his
window lightly. A boy with
brown hair and blue eyes opens the window and you crawl through into his room.

"G-good, you m-m-made it!," The boy you guess was Bill says enthusiastically.

"Always do. Now, is there anything else I need to know about G?"

On the Derry missing children website you were hired on, Bill had asked you to call Georgie "G" because he was still sensitive to Georgie's name. Bill tells you things about Georgie, such as where he fell into the sewers, where his favorite place to go was, and even what he looked like and was wearing the day he went 'missing'. As he tells you what you need to know, you take out a pen and paper from your backpack and jot down the information.

Once he's finnished, you put away the paper and pen and thank the boy.

"Thank you for everything Mr. Denbrough. I promise I'll try my best to find your brother. Stay safe."

"T-thanks! You t-to. Good l-l-luck," Bill responds.

You smile at him and silently crawl out his window.
