Jisung shut off his phone. He felt bad for Chan, but he knew the older didn't feel bad for himself. He was always optimistic, unlike him. "Jisung! Breakfast is ready!" His mom called. He shot up, excited to eat. He made his way into the dining room and saw his dad already sitting at the table. He quickly sat in his seat, anticipating the food.
His mom brought the food to the table before sitting down as well. They had their usual chat as they ate. Jisung zoned out. He thought back to yesterday's events. He wondered if Minho would bother him today. He quickly finished his food and thanked his mom. He brought the dishes to the sink and checked the time. It was just about time to go.
He walked over to the front door. He slipped his shoes on and grabbed his bag, swinging the straps on his shoulders. "I'm gonna get going now!" He shouted. "Okay! Have a great day sweetie!" His mother yelled back. He managed to slip out the door before his dad tackled him.
He walked down his driveway, shivering from the cool morning wind. He pulled his hood up. He stuck his earphones in his ears and played his music as he strolled down the sidewalk. He hummed along to the song and walked along with the beat. Before he knew it, he was already at Felix's house. His friend was waiting for him at the end of his driveway. The blonde pulled one earphone out of his ear.
The two of them walked side by side down the sidewalk. "Did you lose your contacts again?" The Aussie asked, gesturing to the squirrel boy's face. "No? Why?" Jisung replied, not understanding. Felix made the motion of pushing glasses up on his face. Jisung felt as if his soul left his body. "Fuck, I was so distracted that I forgot to put my contacts in!"
"What were you distracted about?" Felix questioned. "Uh, hello? My birthday is tomorrow! Did you seriously forget?" Jisung reminded him, offended. "Hey, I can't keep track of days! But that means my birthday is in two days!" He said giddily. Jisung gave him a dirty look. "Sorry, sorry. I still don't get why you don't like your glasses. I think they compliment your face."
"Well, you're wrong. Now I have another thing to worry about." He groaned. "My mom just brought up that I might not get to meet my soulmate tomorrow because they could be younger than me." He huffed. "Oh damn, I didn't think of that. What if my soulmate is younger than me too?" Felix frowned. "Let's just hope that's not what happens."
They arrived at the bus stop and waited. Jisung spotted Minho. He had a neutral expression on his face as he listened to music. He thought about greeting the older but figured that it was too soon. He began to think some more. Maybe now that they've resolved their conflict they would be friends. Jisung found that unlikely. They would probably just drift apart and forget that each other exist. The bus arrived, and everyone rushed on. Felix and Jisung sat in their usual seat and went back to chatting away.
The bus ride went by quickly. Everyone exited the bus and headed to the school building. Felix and Jisung walked down the hall, heading to their lockers. Jisung stopped at his locker, and Felix left for his. He unlocked his locker, shoving his bag in after he grabbed his supplies.
He shut his locker and locked it, and grabbed his phone out of his pocket. He noticed Jeongin had texted him saying he wasn't going to be at school today. He replied and said he hoped Jeongin felt better after talking with them. The bell rang, startling Jisung. He nearly dropped his phone. He didn't realize how long he was on his phone. He speed-walked to his class, hoping he wouldn't be late.
He scurried into the classroom, glad he made it on time. He walked to his desk and sat down. He set his things on his desk, opening his binder and pulling out his work. He decided to get started a little earlier to maybe speed up the process of finishing the unbelievably boring work. He heard someone enter the classroom. He looked up, seeing Minho.
The older didn't pay him any attention and sat in the desk behind Jisung as usual. Jisung turned to look at the older curiously. He was sorting through his binder. He noticed the younger staring at him and looked up. "Why are you- staring... at me?" He spoke but was taken aback for some reason. Jisung shrugged. "Why do you look so surprised?"
The brunette shook his head, his face turning a faint pink. "N-no reason. Weren't you doing your work?" He asked. So he did look at him. "Yeah, but I got bored really quickly." He told him. He rested his head on the back of his chair, watching Minho organize his binder. "Why are you still watching me?"
"Why not? Am I committing a crime?" Jisung retorted. The brunette huffed. "No, but I'm trying to concentrate. You're distracting me." He answered. "Okay fine, grumpy man." He turned away from the older. The bell rang, and class started. The teacher explained things as usual before telling them to do their work.
Jisung groaned. He was extremely bored. He tapped his fingers on the desk, trying his best to focus. After a minute, he gave up on focusing and decided to turn around again. He saw Minho on his phone. "You better not let the teacher catch you on that." He spoke suddenly, startling the older. "Why are you talking to me?" Minho asked, annoyed. "I don't know. I just can't stand this class." He complained. "And you think I care, why?"
"Ouch, okay, I'll stop bugging you." He said before turning back to his desk. He leaned his head in his hand. Jisung thought that maybe he could talk with Minho since what happened yesterday. He thought that maybe they could be acquaintances. Clearly Minho didn't want that. Jisung took one last glance back at Minho. He had an almost sad looking expression on his face, which confused Jisung. He shook it out of his thoughts and distracted himself for the rest of the class.

Hey again! What are your thoughts on this chapter?
One day left! What do you think will happen? I'm planning on updating again tomorrow hopefully! His birthday will be in the next few chapters, I'm unsure if it'll be next chapter or a couple of chapters from now, but it won't be long! I'm sorry if this chapter felt like filler!
Anyway, I hoped you enjoyed it!
