The cafeteria was deserted. I found Car standing against the wall in a crook typing furiously on her phone. Turned out, she was once again snapping back at someone who had dared to involve in a debate with her on Facebook about the need to take care of animals. She's sassy, but she's an angel, one of the kindest people you'll come across.

When she saw me, her look changed. Uh oh!! I knew what was coming.

"Did you sleep with a hanger in your mouth? Why are you grinning so much?"

"Am I really?"

"Duh, see for yourself." She faced her screen towards me with the front camera on. It appeared to me that yeah, perhaps, I was elated.

"Spill the beans!"

"Guess who I ran into?"

"Taylor Swift??!"
She smirked.

"Mr. Hart!!"

"Whooaa oh!!! Someone even better for you."

There's this theory by Car how much my personality matched with that of Mr. Hart. We both were, according to her, Nerdy Geeky Book- Lovers. That is just how she is. Always motivating me in being a greater bookworm than she realises.

"But that went down the drain. My first impression.... it was as if the Vesuvius of Shame had erupted. I headbutted into him." I told her with my face in my hands.

"That must have let you realise how unimportant first impressions are. Dumbo!! He's not gonna judge you as a lazy cookie based on that. Academics is over everything for him according to what I have heard."

That got me thinking. I supposed that won't be a problem as I am into history.... A LOT THAN I SHOULD BE.

"Let's get to our classes before we get detention on our first day."

I looked around to see that the ambience had grown busy with more people present there. Car is attentive, that's how she is.

We got to our class. Seeing all of those friendly faces brought a smile on ours. We all were meeting now after the previous term had ended. There was so much that had changed and still nothing at all. We were all the same as before, still a bit grown up with some kiddos reaching 17 such as myself. Sara had gotten into reading GoT, Ashley had begun to share my love for drawing, David now had a diary full of his poems.... and there was this guy Andrew (eye roll). Though kind at heart, he was a baboon. He walked over to me as if pretending to coming to sit on the bench next to mine at the front row. "Hi there, Darling!"

"It's Jen to you, bro!" I emphasised on the last word.

"It's not bro to you, sweetheart!" He smirked.
"Been with anyone yet?"

He was just impossible for me to handle. How many times did I have to tell him- I was NOT AT ALL interested in taking my friendship further with anyone. Car is different, she's sorta my betterhalf as in sis code. Andrew... leave alone, I had always considered him like a brother.

I snapped back.
"Sorry, but I'm not like you. You see, I don't have the habit of changing girls like clothes."

With that I snapped shut the book I had open in front of me- The Canterville Ghost.
It was our English period at the beginning that day. Our class of 30 enthusiastically wished as soon as our English Professor arrived.

She was a woman with a commanding aura around her. Her nose supported a pair of red rimmed glasses. She had her hair tied in an elegant bun. As soon as introduced herself, I knew she was going to be one of my favourites.
"Good morning class. I'm Professor Shirley Smith and I'll be teaching you English Literature this year. Why don't we start by introducing ourselves?"
She pointed out Kelley who was sitting at the first seat near the class door. We all very well knew about each other, and were trying to give our best introduction to our new Professor. The task was being passed in a zig-zag manner as in after the first row ended, the kid at the last began introducing himself, then from the first seat of second row to the first seat of the third row.... Like this I was the last one to get the chance.
