"Cammie!" Shouts my mom as I slam my bedroom door behind me, muffling the sound of her voice.

"Cammie!" I ignore her again and turn on my stereo on full blast.

Slowly I change out of my uniform and into my pyjamas. I stare out the window  and with a gasp I realise my dad's driving up the drive way and into the garage. Quickly I turn off the stereo and pull down the blinds. I get into bed and hope he doesn't plan on giving me another one of his 'fatherly' visits that consist of an hour long lecture.  A knock on my door makes me pull the covers tight over my head.

"Can I come in?" Asks mom walking in. Sitting upright I stare at her.

"You're already in" I say a confused expression on my face. Though it's always been like mom to walk in and then announce her presence.

"I guess I am. Now come down stairs and eat something you look kind of pale lately" She says sitting on the edge of my bed.

"I've always been pale"  I say shaking my head in amusement. The topic of my paleness has always given my mom headaches.

"No I'm sure that the doctor said you were rosy when you were born" She says grinning.

"I guess I just don't have the tan gene" I say laughing.

Being of Spanish background both my parents were typically tanned with just the right amount of brown in their hair and green in their eyes.

It's always been a family joke that when my mom had me the babies were  switched and I ended up in an Spanish home while the original lives with an all American family.

"I guess not. Know Mrs Levine said that she wants you to babysit baby Max tonight, her and her husband are coming for dinner with us tonight" I stare at her in disbelief.

"Why can't Jace do it?" I protest. Baby sitting my best friends brother was the most insane thing anyone would do. He just doesn't stop crying.

"It was his turn last week" She explains.

"He's his brother. So what he can't do it again? Jace doesn't exactly have a girlfriend that'll dump him if he babysits!" I say angry. Jace always does this makes sure I get stuck babysitting Max.

"He will someday. And you need to loosen up around children. They don't bite!"

"Max does" I mumble.

Mom raises an unamused eyebrow at me.

"No" I say getting back under the covers.

"Yes"

"No"

"Yes!"

"Yes!" She finally gets me to slip.

"Thankyou honey I knew you would cooperate"

"That wasn't cooperation! You cheated me out! It was accidental!" I sit up and glare at her again.

"You said yes" She says walking to the door.

"Really mom? Really? Did I really say yes?" I say raising and eyebrow at her.

"Really. Know come down stairs" She walks out and closes the door behind her.

I slump back down into my pillows and fall asleep angry at been cheated out like that.

I wake up to the ringing of my phone. I groan and turn to my side. I pick it up and read the caller ID.
