P R O L O G U E :

I checked my watch on my wrist.

Where the hell is he?

It's nearly midnight, in one minute and 20 seconds.

I saw everyone with their partners, but me. I was alone, I was waiting on for him, maybe he forgot? But he couldn't he would remember this; I mean he was talking about this yesterday.

I sighed in relief when I felt big hands cover my eyes, I smile.

"It's about time you came," I said jokingly.

He still covered my eyes with his hand, I was a little confused. But he's always up to these kinds of things.

I heard the count down. "5...4.."

I sighed nervously, it's happening.

"3...2..."

"It's now or never Teddy Bear." My eyebrows furrowed in confusion, this didn't sound like-

"...1...." I was cut off by a kiss, his soft kissable lips against mine. He cupped my face, as I responded back by running my hand through his hair, I felt him smirk.

There was just something about this kiss, it was good.

We both kissed each other in sync, I didn't want to stop that was the thing. But us humans needs to breathe, so we both pulled apart.

My eyes widen as he pulled away, it wasn't him.

"Happy new year, Teddy Bear."

He smirked and winked at me while he walked away, in crowd when I can no longer see him.

I can't believe I just kissed Axel Storm!

S U M M A R Y :

Scarlet and Axel were practically forced onto each other. How couldn't you be when your two best friends drop the bombshell that they've been dating behind your back? But unlike their friends, even though they spend a lot - And maybe too much time together, Scarlet and Axel are definitely not interested. well, Axel might be.

The notorious playboy of his school sets himself the monumental task of getting Scarlet to like him. Why? It turns out this good girl is good in too many ways - good enough that she wants to wait for love instead of falling for Axel's charm. To Axel this only means one thing: CHALLENGE ACCEPTED.
