Within Shadows (Zuko x Reader)

Chapter 20 Pt. 2

"If all the prisoners were let out, chances are they're in the yard. We need to find Sokka and Suki as quick as possible." You panted out from beside Zuko. He nodded and got the both of you outside. Making sure to dodge any people, fist, kicks and fire balls before finally finding Sokka, Suki, Hakota and Chit Sang.

"Zuko, (Y/n)! Good! We're all here. Now all we need to do is get the warden and get to the gondolas." Sokka quickly informed of his plan. You looked to where he was pointing to see the Warden up high over looking the chaos going around.

"And how do we do that?" Zuko asked. Sokka deadpanned.

"I'm not sure." He replied. Zuko growled in frustration.

"I thought you thought this through!" He exclaimed.

"You thought that the last time too." You pointed out.

"And I thought you taught me that it's okay not to think things through?!" Sokka exclaimed defensively.

"Maybe not everything, but this is kind of important!" Zuko face palmed. You sighed and shook your head.

"Hey uh, fellas. I think your girlfriend is taking care of it." Chit Sang spoke. You, Zuko and Sokka looked over to see Suki run out there and hop on people's heads. You smirked and decided to follow lead. You sprinted and jumped up jumping from head to head, climbed the wall a little like she did and use your flames to launch yourself up and over and send a flying kick to a guard while Suki took care of another. You took care of another and Suki did too before you launched yourself up to the wardens level and sent a kick his way while Suki took the guards. You dodged a punch from the warden by ducking and kicking his knee to send him forward and over your shoulders and having him land on his stomach. You held his hands behind his back with your knee and grabbed his hair, pulled his head back, took of his head band and used that to tie his mouth shut and a piece of cloth from around your waist to tie his hands together.

"Oh I'm sorry? Did I step on your moment?" (If you get that reference, I love you) you asked with a grin and Suki helped you lift him him and pin him to the wall until the boys came. And just on time they did and Sokka and Zuko looked absolutely awstruck.

"We got the warden! Now let's get out of here!" Suki exclaimed.

"Those are some girls." Hakota muttered. Sokka looked at Suki with heart eyes and Zuko did the same but to you.

"Tell me about it." They both said at the same time. You giggled and brushed them off. Chit Sang went over and threw the warden over his shoulder and Sokka and Suki lead the way to the gondola. You ran alongside Zuko and gazed at him with a smile which he returned. You looked ahead and noticed that you were all almost there. Two guards stepped forward and sent a blast but you and Zuko pushed forward and each reflected the fire using the same fluid motion.

"Back off! We've got the warden!" Zuko exclaimed and the two of you turned your bodies to reveal the man on Chit Sangs shoulder. The guards stepped down and moved out of the way. "Let's go." Zuko demanded and lead the way. You following along side him. You all got on. Zuko staying behind to make sure the guards didn't do anything. You looked out the window opening, ready to send blast in case they attack Zuko. Zuko rushed over once everyone was in and pulled the lever but didn't go in. You watched nervously as you saw him slowly get further away from you all but you trusted Zuko dearly. He began to kick at the lever and eventually broke it off before making a dash and a jump for the gondola. You rushed over and grabbed his hand. Sokka helped you pull him up and once he was inside you hugged him tightly, he of course immediately hugged you just as tight back.

"What are you doing?!" Sokka exclaimed.

"I'm making it so they can't stop us." Zuko spoke as he pulled away from you and turned to Sokka.
