Modern- Who Would Play Them in A Movie

** in my opinion, no current cast will ever match the original cast. The book is much better but I do think the original cast fit their roles very very well. That said, I tried to find actors that fit their description/may be a good-ish match. There will be another part that won't necessarily be actors. Also these are just opinions so PLEASE don't get pressed with me over it. ALSO — I'm not only going with the movie or only going with the book. Some will look more like they do in the book, others will look loosely like the movie.*

Soda - Austin Butler

Darry - Liam Hemsworth

Ponyboy - Ansel Elgort

It was originally Ansel Elgort but that...... that did not age well.

Dally - Jamie Campbell Bowers

Two-bit - Sam Claflin

Cherry - Lily Collins

Steve - Charles Melton

Johnny - Booboo Stewart

Also weirdly I could see Jake T. Austin as either Ponyboy or Steve.

Also, I am fully aware they are not 13-19. Trust me. And I'm fully aware that Ansel Elgort doesn't really look 13-14, and Booboo Stewart doesn't look like you g like Johnny supposedly does, but first of all, movie characters almost never look their supposed age. Second, I'm sorry but I don't know if many actors that look/are younger and fit the role. Sorry guys.
