The Significant Other

jealous of the woman you ate breakfast, lunch and dinner with
despise the woman who owns your heart
livid at the woman who made you cry
angry that you will go through the pain for her
indignant that I can't have you
aggrieved that she holds your heart in the palm of her hand
resentful that you'll never look at me the way you look at her
displeased that you'll never talk to me like you talk to her
affronted that your world evolves around her
exasperated that no matter what I do, you'll never consider me...
vexed that she makes you smile
irked that your eyes light up whenever she's around
miffed that she makes your heart beat so fast
riled that her tiny gestures means the world to you
piqued that you already belong to her but you still yearn for her
outraged that I will never feel your touch, your kiss, your love
hated that I will always be on the losing end
incensed that I can't fight what I'm feeling for you
appalled because I know, no matter how long it is, I will still hope and wait for that day you'll see me differently
