Why did Harry and Dua break up?

Debuting a new single is always scary. Yet, this album will be different. Dua knows that the world is well aware of who she's writing about. It isn't a secret. There was an abundance of apprehension surrounding the decision to release the album. But she knows she would never forgive herself if she wasn't making honest music. The gossip and the criticism are worth the approval of her fans, hopefully.
Dua takes a deep breath as she hears the first note play.
"I guess I could try hypnotherapy I gotta rewire this brain 'Cause I can't even go on the internet Without even checking your name"

"Oh, we were such a mess But wasn't it the best? Thought it was done But I guess it's never really over"
The audience erupt in applause as Graham comes rushing over to hug Dua. She laughs into the hug, relieved all went as planned. No shit notes and no falls.
She takes a seat next to Reese after saying a 'hi' to each guest.
"That was incredible."
"Thank you so much."
"So that was your new single 'never really over' which we can download at midnight, right?"
"Yes. And the album is out on the 21st."
"Lovely. So, it's been three years since I've had you on the sofa. And you've just exploded. I mean, you've been the most streamed female artist of 2019 and 2020."
"It's crazy. Honestly, it's too mad to even understand."

"Hopefully you'll be the most streamed artist this year too!"
"I wouldn't bet on it just in case."
"I wouldn't bet much." Graham teased.

Dua giggled. She's met Graham a couple times now and he's always been a sweetheart although he has a great sense of humour that allows him to taunt his guests.
"Now, I wouldn't be doing my job if I didn't bring this up. And also because I fear your fans may hunt me down if I don't."
Dua tries to refrain from smirking. She knows exactly what Graham will ask her. Luckily, she's jokingly rehearsed her responses with Harry. Making sure not too give much away but at least providing fans with a little clarity.
"Mr Harry Styles appears on your album, and fans are suspecting you two may be together..."

Dua takes a sip of her drink in an attempt to stall from answering. She didn't prepare for Graham to be so blunt in his questioning. She thought he may be a little more gentle.
"I'm happy at the moment. Things were a little touch and go for a while but it's all looking up now."
Knowing she basically side stepped his question, Dua cant help but recognise how much she sounds like Harry. He's known for never answering questions posed to him. She must have picked the skill up.
"Can I take that as a yes?"
Dua nods her ever so slightly.

The audience cheer at Dua's admission. She winces ever so slightly. She's never been great at keeping cool under pressure. Nor has she ever mastered the act of not feeling giddy whenever Harry's name is mentioned.
It's only been a month since their meet-up in the cafe. Not long at all. Having agreed to giving their relationship another ago, they wanted to take things slow but neither Dua or Harry have been any good at that.
It's been impossible to not feel like they could pick up from where they left off last year. Which isn't entirely a bad thing. Small changes are continuing to be made. Like telling each other about any inconvenience they may have, no matter how small.
The applause starts to die down.
Dua could be annoyed at herself for revealing the status of her relationship so soon after its rekindled but she knows she's stronger this time.
"We're all so happy for you. Truly."
"I appreciate that. Maybe I shouldn't have just admitted that on tv but oh well."
"Well, you don't need to worry about Harry being mad. That man sure as hell would love to show you off once again."
Graham begins to say his thanks as the show comes to an end. The end titles run as Dua gets up to thank Graham for having her. She also heads over to the audience in hopes she'll be allowed to sign some stuff for her fans.
They've been so supportive and open with her, she knows they'll be grateful that tonight she did the same.
