Kage
Arrajin didn't let her concentration waver despite the mix of fascination, amazement, and sheer giddy anticipation of what all she could do. She found her powers to be truly amazing, and the sensation they gave her was more enjoyable than anything she had ever felt before. It was addicting. Dangerous. Yet for once that danger didn't scare Arrajin. In fact, it exhilarated her.
The flames seemed to grow as her emotions did, and for a moment she struggled to contain them, her concentration wavering slightly. With a few deep breaths she managed to control it once more and with a powerful burst of magic formed the fire into a large ring.
With another burst of energy she sent the ring of fire flying into the air and without waiting a second, conjured a ball of water, which she tossed up after the ascending flames. As soon as the water passed through the center of the fiery ring she expanded it and watched with fascination as water and fire collided, causing an explosion of boiling steam which billowed up between the canopies of the surrounding trees.
Arrajin quickly noted her heavy breathing and sudden fatigue, and knew she'd exhausted her energies for the night. However, far, far down inside Arrajin could feel that her power had grown. She had strengthened her abilities and learned a new form of magic. No matter what consequences may come, Arrajin thought, it was fully worth it for the skills she'd obtained this night.
The young adult stretched and yawned before brushing the dead leaves and grass from her pants, then she made her way back down the path she'd come from, heading home with the intention of peeling off her clothes and heading straight to bed after a quick meditation.
This plan was soon found to be impossible as a dark shadow caught Arrajin's eye. She stopped and turned to face the direction she'd seen it in. There was no one there. Trying to shake it off, Arrajin continued on her way, though considerably quickened her pace, a nagging feeling in her gut she couldn't quite place was putting her on edge, and only doubled as she caught sight of the shadowy figure a second time. She felt her face blanch despite the physical exertion and trickling fear which was causing her heart to thunder faster than her feet.
Just as her home came into view Arrajin stopped as ahead of her the spirit stepped out from the trees into her path. His face was inset and long, his eyes ink blotches on faded black paper, and mouth raggedly torn from one end of his face to the other. This spirit was surprisingly defined and radiated a fiercely powerful energy which made her skin prickle with goose bumps.
A strong breeze blew the long, dark hair from the spirits shoulders, surprising Arrajin even more.
It must be because of the full moon, Arrajin reasoned with herself. Warily she stepped closer, hoping the spirit meant her no harm. After All, not all spirits changed humans to vampires, some simply killed them. Arrajin gulped, her sweaty palms clenched stiffly at her side, and began walking around the shadow, wondering what he would do, if anything, if she simply passed him and continued on her way. After all, she was nearly home, and she didn't have much of any strength left after her slight overuse of power in the clearing.
The spirit turned his eyes on Arrajin as she passed, letting his head move to keep her in sight until his body had to move for his head could no longer. Heart in her throat, Arrajin sped up again. As if trying to strengthen her anxiety, the spirit began to follow after her once she reached the stone path which lead to her front door.
As she stumbled her way into her bedroom on the second floor she felt a paralyzing jolt of energy course through her, stopping Arrajin in her tracks. Behind her the door closed softly, and ahead of her the spirit stood in front of her window, one hand raised out to her still form.
Arrajin scarcely dared to breathe. Panic and terror filling her up as the spirit came towards her. For once, Arrajin wished she had insisted her mother confide in her the process of joining oneself with a spirit and becoming a vampire. Did it hurt? Did your body die? And what of their ways of killing?
Arrajin became very suddenly aware of the flaws in her lack of knowledge on these topics. For all she knew, she was about to have what was left of her energy sucked out and her soul devoured by this otherworldly being. The thought brought another wave of fear crashing down upon her even more strong than before.
The spirit stopped in front of her, so close they were eye to eye, noses only an inch from touching. Arrajin trembled despite her invisible bonds. The spirit raised a hand to her cheek, and a thousand things rushed through her mind so fast she only caught flashes.
A sun glazed ocean and white powdered crescent beach with a woman running down it.
Three women standing with their hands clasped together, chanting as one and moving together in fluid motion.
A blazing fire scorching the land all around, a scorching tree falling upon a fleeing figure.
A woman being surrounded by a ruthless looking organization of vampires, then ripped to shreds by some invisible force, as though a tornado of blades had torn through them.
A group of her parents friends and her parents themselves being surrounded the same way by another band of vampires who seemed to be from the same organization.
A woman with red hair.
An old man.
A gargantuan wolf being controlled by this spirit at the command of a stunning brunette who radiated confidence.
Arrajin couldn't feel herself breathing, but she had no urge to gasp for air. Her once intensified vision was blurry and cloudy. It slowly cleared as the spirits face descended on her own. She could do nothing as his lips collided with hers.
She could have sworn she were soaring through the air. Her body was so light the breeze could have swept her away. Her back arched into his at her captives command, and Arrajin had no will to fight it. His other hand slipped away her clothes without needing to touch them, and soon it was gliding its way up her thigh.
A searing pleasure burst forth and continued to flow in a continual stream as the spirits form entwined further and further about her own.
As Arrajin reached her climax her jaw was forced open, and the spirit flowed into her like smoke, pouring down her throat. Arrajin wanted to scream in agonized pleasure but could do nothing. She felt his form swirling about inside her, then slowly it began to fade, replaced with something that felt much like adrenaline, only better. It was more powerful than anything Arrajin had ever felt before.
As if some sort of signal had been given, Arrajin's body was released from its hold and, trembling, she fell to her bedroom floor in a seizing heap of invigorating energy which seemed to be trying to fight its way back out. After a few minutes the energy bubbled down and Arrajin felt almost normal again, despite the suddenly amped up power within her.
Arrajin wondered what exactly had just happened. Had she just been conjoined with that spirit, or somehow possessed? She felt as though she had full control, but she always imagined her body would have gone through more of a change than it had during a conjoining. To her, she still felt human.
A sudden wave of exhaustion came flowing back and Arrajin weakly dragged herself up into her bed and passed out.
The last conscious thought which drifted through her mind was, "Kage."
