It's Saturday today yet I still woke up early, nakagawian na din dahil sa maagang pasok sa eskwela.

I kissed mom's and dad's cheeks.

"You're early, Aure. I thought you'll wake up late dahil sabado naman. May gagawin ka ba?" mommy asked when I was already seated.

"Wala, mommy.

"That's good.

"Our friend, mommy. He is kind.

"We'll bake cookies later for him as our thank you gift." mommy suggested.

My eyes widen and I got excited about it.

"Yes, mommy. Thank you."

Mas lalo akong ginanahan sa pagkain, can't wait to bake again.

Marunong akong mag-bake pero yung mga simple cookies lang and with the guidance of our helpers.

"Do you usually do that to our helpers, mommy, daddy?"

"Treating them after harvesting and being good to them?"

"Alam mo, anak. We should always be humble whatever our status is. We should be grateful to them for being the instruments for what we have today."

I was touched by daddy's views in life. I am so proud of them.

"Your really have a soft heart like your father. And I am so happy you felt that way to the helpers. Ipagpatuloy mo iyan, anak. A good leader considers his employees feelings. Love your employees and helpers and they'll love their job more. They will take care of your business even if you're not around them."

"I'll always put that in mind, mommy."

I was surprised when a man in his late twenties entered the dining room. He is tall and has a dark skin. He has stubbles and his hair was cut clean.

"Come on Alfonso, join us." daddy welcomed him warmingly.

"Tapos na po ako." he smiled sheepishly and then looked at me.

I tore my eyes off him and stared at my plate.

"Maghihintay na lang po ako sa sala."

"Okay."

"Who is he, mom?" tanong ko nang hindi ko na makita ang likod niya.

"He is your dad's assistant." mommy told me.

"Bakit ngayon ko lang siya nakita?"

"Because your dad had given him long vacation.
