Family

A family divided, Separated from themselves,

What once was united, Has suffered life through hell.

The people within and the ones without,

Tainted by hatred beyond the shadow of a doubt.

We fought- We laughed- We cry,

My family is worth more than I.

The memories we shared and the lessons we've learned,

The distance lengthened as my heart depressingly yearned.

I loved you guys but lost sight of what was important,

The more I spent my time with you the more I thought it was redundant.

Have I ever known How much you guys meant to me,

Should I come along or remain to be.

The tears I've shed and the words once said,

Hollowed my heart with the blood I bled.

I thought they were annoying, a hindrance, and boring,

Never have I thought of how they were as caring.

Shame be upon me for I regretted ever leaving,

But they came back for me cause they know I was never trying.

Could I be better than the one I used to be,

With their help, It's now clear to me.

When I fell down they brought me up,

When I was insane they made me stop.

Should I remain? If not then what?

I think they have the answer for that.

Let me be a kid just one more time,

As I saw myself with them and I was to them as they are to mine.
