'Do I even matter,' Alice thought to herself,
'aren't I an accident, nothing but a speck of dust in the universe' history class bored her, she wanted to break off the chains holding her hostage in this somewhat of a prison, but even if she were an adult, what was the point, she still wouldn't matter, she was nothing-a nobody, no one cared about her, well that's what she thought anyway.

She was depressed, despite the fact that her fifteenth birthday was next week, but she knew that when the day came, her mother would be drunk and passing out on the couch every five minutes, and her dad, he would be cheating on her mom at the club, and even though he did her mom didn't care, she would just push him away for a few hours then they would start vibing again.

And her sister didn't care about her family at all, every night she would hang out at her girlfriend's apartment.

Once Alice got home she was verbally abused by her parents like always, so she just locked herself in her room and just laid flat across her bed listening to music which takes away all her stress, or that's at least how it felt, soon she would be trying to muffle the sound of her soft sobs in her pillow.

She was having to play some RPG game so she could forget everything, she was in the middle of killing a zombie-llama when she heard something coming from her cheap hand-me-down headset,
'You dont matter' the voice said, she immediately muted her mic and threw the headset on the stained carpet floor, it wasn't a loud sound, but it was still loud enough.

"What was that?" her mom said sternly, barging through the door, Alice immediately put her head down in respect, but the real reason why was to look away from her cobalt blue eyeshadow, of which her messy strawberry blonde hair was sticking to, her bright red lipstick smeared accross her slightly wrinkled face.

Alice still kept her head down,
"UHm, I'm tAalking to*hiccup*yOu!" she said, slurring her words, probably because of the vodka bottle in her hand,
"Um, my headphones...." Alice said glancing at her, her mother's eyes widened in shock,
"Your headset!?" her mother yelled, she was angry and that caught the attention of Father,
"What, what, what is it?" he asked, snaking his arms around his love.

"She tossed her fricking headphones on the ground." she said, calmer than Alice expected,
"Why?" her dad asked, intensly glaring into her eyes,
"It said something to me...." Alice said quietly,
"Are you stupid?!" Alice's dad said pointing his fat finger at her while taking several menacing steps closer to her,
"It said that I didn't matter...." Alice said looking back down, her dad stopped for a moment, but soon continued walking towards her,
"That's because you don't!" he yelled slapping her instantly, then leaving the room with his wife and slamming the door.

Alice scrunched up her nose and closed her eyes so tears wouldn't stream down her face,
'I told you' the voice said again, his voice fading into a whisper as he speaked.

'No one cares about hell your'e going through' he said again, snickering, Alice just ignored it,
'Maybye you should just kill yourself, it's not like anyone would notice' she repeated in her head over and over, until he spoke again,
'It's so simple, just walk off the plank' deep down inside she agreed with him.

"Mabye I should...." she thought, and a wave of saddness swept over her....
