It's a hot Saturday afternoon and I'm just enjoying the weather. Strolling down the block minding my business. It's NYC, everybody's out today. Anyway, I'm getting close to the ave, and I think I see my nigga with some next bitch.
"Darren! Are you fuckin' with me right now?" I yelled.
He looked up, with the stupidest look on his handsome caramel face.
"Baby, don't worry this bitch was tryna get at me, I'm tryna get her away. Look shorty I told you I got a girl," Darren said ignorantly.
"Fuck you Darren. You know fuckin' well I'm not sweatin my your dusty ass. I was just tryna get my fuckin money back for that trash ass bud you sold me, but I see you actin' wild funny since ya bitch, no offense, around." The girl rolled her eyes. "I'm not interested in ya man, he played me and I need my bread," she sighed.
I looked Darren up and down, rolled my eyes, and took a deep breath and let out a big long sigh.
"Fucking Darren I'm sick of you yo oh my fuckin' goodness. I'm sorry-,"I looked at shawty.
"Kim," she said.
"-Kim, I didn't mean to pull up like that but Darren be doing too much. Pay this girl her money and let's go. We need to fuckin talk." I stormed off leaving Darren and that chocolate broad to their business.
Me and Darren been together for about a year or less. I truly love him, but this nigga is driving me crazy. He lies like he shits. Maybe even more than that, and bro takes a lot of shits. When I met him, it was like a breath of fresh air. He was (and still is honestly) this tall , fine, caramel, muscular, manly ass man. His voice was smooth as honey, yet deep and assertive. He had the sweetest touch. When everything was going wrong a hug from him was like a protective shield. Then, all that shit changed when he lost his job. This bitch ass nigga turned into the hellboy in real life form. We fought, argued, didn't sleep in the same bed for weeks. It was like a whole roommate. A total stranger. Then came the lying. Then the bitches. Then he lost his mom, and that made him come back to me slightly. All of that happened in a three to four month span, yet I'm still here and he's still motherfuckin' lying. Whatever.
Darren came running behind me a few minutes later. Looking stupid still and out of breath.
"Baby, baby listen. I... know I been lying, but... I'm really not fuckin wit nobody bro. You really been rockin wit me for the longest and I gotta do right. Plus we gettin older and we gotta grow up sometime right?" He explained. I just looked at him for a moment. Still the same fine ass man I fell for. Ridiculous.
"You. You have to grow up sometimes. I don't have time for your little "Ima do right bae" head ass comments right now. The funeral director called me and told me your moms body is ready for a preview. Since you know, the funral is in two days," I looked at him.
Darren looked away. He still was hurt, I could tell. I didn't mean to sound harsh, but this dude needs a reality check ASAP. I'm the only one here for him and he's the only one taking care of his mother's arrangements, as that's what she wanted.
"Look D, I'm here. I know what you're going through. I have been here before. You need to stop looking outside for a fill to the void you're trying to gap. Nigga I'm fuckin right here! Your mother and I had a brief yet very deep and special vibe when we met. She was such an amazing person. And she raised such an amazing son. I know life seems like it's dragging you down, but I'm here, pulling you up, while you just sit there and make me do all the work. I need you to help me, help you. You need to open your heart again. I'm here baby, I'm here," I sobbed.
Darren looked at me.
"I ain't ask for you to do none of that shit bro. You can save allat for another time. When can I see my mom body? You coulda said that when you ran down instead of bein all extra and shit," he stared blankly at me.
"You dead ass? Okay. Today. Right now. Go, see her. Make sure she's beautiful," I said sadly.
"What? You not coming? Fuck you son dead ass. Go kill yourself," Darren yelled at me.
"I never said-"
"You fuckin dummy you ain't have to. Real shit leave me alone, ima holla at you later," he walked off.
