Within Shadows (Zuko x Reader)

Chapter 16

"Who are these beautiful women?" She asked as the two old women approached.

"Can't you tell?" One of them asked and they both struck the same pose.

"It's Lo and me"
"It's Li and me" they spoke at the same time. You tensed and you could hear Zuko barf in his mouth a little. The women lead you to the room you'd all be sharing and Ty Lee flopped down on a pink bed.

"Oh! I love the sea shell spread!" She exclaimed and stroked the pillow.

"Are you serious? It looks like beach threw up all over it." Mai deadpanned.

"We know you all are upset that you were forced to come here this weekend." One of the twins spoke.

"But Ember Island is a magical place. Keep an open mind." The other spoke.

"Give it a chance." Then the other.

"And it can help you understand yourselves and each other" they spoke at the same time. One of them grabbed a smooth rock.

"The island has a way-"

"Of smoothing even the most rugged edges." The two then clapped and took off their robes covering their bating suits to reveal them.

"Time to hit the beach!" They both exclaimed. Mai covered Zuko's eyes with her hand.

You were hesitant to head out to say the least due to your arm. Your hand trailed the indents as well as the bumps that ran along the skin. You frowned at the sight of it and hugged the arm to your chest. You were given a tube top and some short shorts with a sheer piece of cloth that was tied to your waist at an angle. "(Y/n)? What's taking you so long?" Ty Lee asked. You sighed and revealed yourself to her. Still hugging your arm close to you. She frowned a little at the burn.

"I just... Don't want this to be shown around..." You muttered. She gave you a small smile.

"Who cares what others think? You're a beautiful girl, (Y/n). And if people have a problem with your scar, then that's on them." She assured you. You smiled weakly at the girl and pulled her into a hug.

"Thanks Ty... You're a great friend... I'm sorry I attacked you those few times but... I needed to stop you." You muttered. She laughed a little.

"It's okay! I forgive you. Now let's get going. We don't want to keep the others waiting." She grabbed your wrist and pulled you along. You all looked for a spot to settle at. Zuko and Mai stood shoulder to shoulder under an umbrella and Azula kicked down a sand castle and scared the kids off. A boy zoomed to Ty Lee.

"Hey! Need help unpacking your stuff?" He asked. Ty Lee gave a bright smile.

"Sure!" She exclaimed and plopped the back into his arms. The weight causing him to fall over. It seemed like Ty Lee had found her a little servant. You chuckled for the first time in a while and glanced away and set up your spot near Azula and away from Zuko and Mai. The two cuddled under the umbrella they had. You sighed and flopped back onto your blanket and allowed yourself to sun bathe. You closed your eyes and kept quiet and let yourself soak up the sun.

Zuko handed a near by shell to Mai. "Here. This is for you." He spoke. Your brows furrowing slightly.

"Why would I want that?" She asked plainly. Zuko frowned and threw the shell.
