Chapter 16

The guards escorted you to Zuko, Azula, Ty Lee and Mai. Ty Lee frowned once she looked at you. "Aww... (Y/n) your so pretty but you look so sad and tired..." She was right. You could feel the bags under your eyes and your expression had been emotionless for days.

"Well I was in a prison cell for a while and couldn't sleep." You muttered a little sarcastically. She pouted at your response.

"Yeah you look more done with shit then i do. And that's saying a lot." Mai spoke as she cuddled into Zuko's side. He sent a smile her way and wrapped an arm around her. You winced a little at the sight and glanced away.

"Been through a lot... So to say I'm sick of shit would be correct." You replied to the girl. Avoiding any eye contact with her.

"Well. Since you're a good family friend of mine. You're coming with us to Ember Island. We will be leaving in a few days so during that time, prove to me that you're a good bodyguard and servant and you shall be rewarded with a nice vacation." Azula spoke.

"I am at your service..." You muttered and bowed before Azula. Her lips twisted into a sinister smirk.

"You're doing a good job already... Now. Come along. We have much to do." She ordered.

"I am so excited to spend the weekend on Ember Island! It's gonna be great to hang out on the beach and do nothing." Ty Lee enthused. Zuko and Mai sat together under some shade, you leaned against the railing away from everyone and avoiding looking at Zuko or just avoiding him in general and Azula stood by Ty Lee facing towards Mai and Zuko.

"Yeah you all get to do nothing. I'm on duty 24/7." You muttered as you turned to look out into the ocean as you liked to do when traveling on boat.

"Doing nothing is a waste of time. We're being sent away on a forced vacation. I feel like a child." Zuko tantrumed as he moved away from Mai and leaned on the railing. You rolled your eyes for it seemed like his old attitude ridden self was back. The same one who was so eager to capture the Avatar for so long.

"Lighten up. Dad wants to meet with his advisors alone. Without anyone else around. Don't take it personally." Azula replied.

"Doesn't your family have a house on the island?" Ty Lee asked to break the tension.

"We used to come every summer when we were kids." Azula replied.

"That must have been fun."

"That was a long time ago..." Zuko trailed. You glanced down at his words and sighed softly. The island finally came into view and you all were greeted by twin women.

"Welcome to Ember Island kids." They spoke at the same time. Freaking you out a little but you went along with it. You all were then lead to a tiny home that the two women seemed to have owned.

"Smells like old lady in here." Zuko whispered to Mai.

"Gee. I wonder why." She replied sarcastically. She truly did have the personality of a wet blanket to you but she was still your friend regardless. Your hand reached for your burnt left arm that was being covered by your clothes and you rubbed it gently as you glanced away from the clear couple. You wondered over to Ty Lee who was looking at a painting of two women.
