i just remembered that a couple days ago i was in an argument with a friend (his dad's a cop so he wasn't happy with my anti-cop messages on snapchat) and it became a discussion about race because that's just how it is
he's white and he was claiming something about everyone having their struggles and that black and brown ppl aren't the only people that suffer (like duh but white ppl don't suffer due to being white so what he said was irrelevant to the argument)
he then told me that his mom is out of a job and they're struggling to get by and they don't have much food in the house
i told that info to my mom and she told me to offer him money but i told her that i didn't wanna hurt his pride because that's the type of person he is but she insisted so i offered and he said no and now i feel like if or when we see each other in person when school starts back it might be awkward and :(
i may not agree with all his opinions but he's a good friend and a good person and i do care about him and genuinely hope his situation improves because no one deserves that
