After nun, my phone keeps ringing and I ignored it the whole Sunday. Kinaumagahan, hindi ko naman pinansin si Trevor sa klase.

"Zhavia, please. It's not what you think," buntot ng buntot si Trevor sa akin.

"Leave me alone," I looked at him and gritted my teeth.

"You've got the wrong idea, Cameron and I didn't go on a date!" Tinalikuran ko siya at patuloy na lumakad. "Her brother asked me a favor to look out for her for a day. Please Zhavia, talk to me."

Tumigil ako. "She's not a fcking child for pete's sake! Is it hard to say no?" patuloy akong lumakad.

"I can't say no."

"Bakit? Kasi gusto mo din naman na kasama siya?" Narinig ko siyang nagbugtong hininga.

"It's not that, Zhavs. I owe something to his brother, besides it's rude to say no."

"Bakit ba kasi kasilangan siyang bantayan? Ano ka babysitter?" Inis kong singhal.

"She needs to be guarded incase of an asthma attack," huminto ako. "They can't bear it if she will be left alone because of her severe asthma. She's a hard headed girl."

Ngumiwi ako. "Edi bakit sa park pa? At sa ganon ka aga?" I trailed off a while and took a deep breath, "Did you sleep with her?"

My heart clenched.

"No, I did not, Zhavia." His gaze was like boring into my soul. "It's just her brother called early because they have urgent matters, and she also keeps insisting that she needs fresh morning air. There's nothing to worry about, baby."

Nagseselos lang naman ako eh. I'm just afraid that he will be taken away from me. Masama ba yun? I'm just threatened by Cameron because I know there's a chance na he will leave me kapag sawa na siya.

"Tsaka dapat magalit dapat ako," narinig ko ang dahan dahang pagbilis ng kanyang hininga. "Seriosuly? Morning jogging with that bastard?"

"He's not a bastard," hinarap ko siya. "I just saw him at a botique at nagkayayaan lang naman."

"A guy and a girl can't go alone, Zhavia!"

"He's just a friend." Diniin ko ang bawat salita.

"Friend?" he playfully laughed. "Seriously?"

"Come on, Trevor! Don't be close minded, a guy and a girl can be friends platonically! Besides, nagpapakatanga pa siya sa ex niya, he still loves her, okay?"

Nagkatinginan kami. "Quits na tayo," I said before leaving. I went to the rooftop to unwind. After few minutes I received a call from Ayesha.

"Biatch!" the other line greeted me.

"Yes, bitch? Wanna do some bitchin' stuffs?" I sighed.

"No thanks, nandito si si ex nerdy, ex crush mo, at yung ex manliligaw mo, charot."

"Anong meron?"

"Hindi ko nga alam, punta ka lang sa gate. Ikaw nalang ang hinihintay namin." Sabi niya tsaka pinutol ang tawag. Kunot noo kong pinagmasdan ang phone ko at nagdesisyong pumunta na doon. Okay lang din naman akong harapin si Trevor since may kasama naman kami. But one thing is for sure.

This is going to be real awkward.

I don't know what's happening. Ano bang pag-uusapan namin? I'm started to get real curious.

Paglabas ko ng gate, nakita ko kaagad sila na kumakain ng streetfoods. "May isaw!" ngumiti ako at bumili kay ale. Binalingan ko kaagad ang mga kasama kong seryoso, but my eyes did not linger on Trevor for a while, I just held my gaze at Ayesha and at the couple.
