「 chapter one」

Start from the beginning

"Hm, you should as Kakashi-kun about that. He knows more about how Konoha was founded than me."

"Founded. Past tense. Had I really gone into the future?" Izuna asked himself before turning to his teammate.

Kakashi sighed. "They taught this at the academy, how do you not know it?" He fell into his seat, placing his elbow on the table and placing his head in his palm. "Senju Hashirama and Uchiha Madara founded Konoha. But it was widely known that the Uchiha had a grudge against the Senju because during the Warring States Period, both had several casualities from the other side."

"Warring States Period?"

"That was when the two clans were at war. Honestly-!" he stopped when he received a glare from Rin behind Obito's back. "Nevermind. Anyway, the two continued to fight on the battlefield. Eventually, due to the death of Madara-san's younger brother, Izuna-san."

"That's me! What happens after I die?"

"Madara-san continued to fight. However, due to the large number of Senju, more and more Uchiha were tempted to form a treaty between the clan."

"Huh?!"

"Shut up and listen. Madara-san faced Hashirama-san one last time and was defeated. Due to this, they formed a treaty with Konoha, promising peace for all."

"What the hell?" Izuna barked out. "What-"

"Hush. You'll like the next part, since you don't seem to like the Senju. The second Hokage had to be elected. As you can see." he waved his arm in the general direction of the Hokage monument. "Senju Tobirama was elected. But Uchiha Madara didn't like this because Tobirama-san had a clear bias against the Uchiha. Madara-san thought Tobirama-san would isolate them. So Madara-san left the village."

"Go nii-san!"

"But he returned with the control of the Kyuubi under him. So Hashirama-san and Madara-san clashed one last time on the battlefield, with intent to kill this time."

"So?! Who won?"

"Well, Senju Hashirama has a granddaughter and Uchiha Madara doesn't, so I'm sure you can guess who did."

Izuna stood frozen. "Nii-san...lost?"

"What's with this sudden interest in the past? You didn't even focus this much in school, dattebane." Kushina joked.

"Well, he's an Uchiha. Maybe he's interested in the past of his clan?" Minato sighed. "Anyway, let's get food-"

"I'm heading home." Izuna replied, darting past Rin and out of the ramen shop.

The remainder of the teammates stared at him run away.

"Uh...should we go after him, Minato-sensei?" Rin asked.

"Leave him be," Minato sighed again. "He's been acting weird all day. Maybe he's tired?"

"Something's wrong with him," Kakashi added. His team looked at him curiously. Was he worried about the Uchiha? "He's been acting nicer to me today. I think he ate something weird for breakfast."

The rest of his team deadpanned at him. "Not only that..." Kushina replied. "His behavior was weird too." Rin and Minato looked up at her expectantly. Had she noticed something they hadn't? "Usually, he would eat five bowls of ramen, but he didn't eat any today. Maybe he really did eat something weird for breakfast."

Rin and Minato sighed.

"Right?" Kakashi agreed. "But he was late this morning, so that wasn't that weird."

"Nevermind..." Minato sighed. "It's probably a one-time thing. Let's leave him alone."

His teammates and Kushina nodded in agreement.

-----------------------------

Thankfully, the Uchiha compound was in the same place as he left it. At least the bastard Senju didn't move it.

But when Izuna ran past the gates of the compound, he froze.

He didn't know which house was his.

In his previous life, he was a son of the clan head, so he would live in the clan head's house, but now...

There was no way this kid was a son of the clan head. He needed goggles. Which Uchiha needed goggles?

And what happened earlier? Did something happen with his Sharingan? No...he'll check it again when he found his house.

He glanced around, trying to find anybody that would recognize him. Thankfully, somebody called out to him from behind him.

"Ah! Obito-kun, you're home faster than I expected. Didn't you say you had to eat something with your team?"

He turned around and was faced with a friendly-looking grandmother. He bowed, "Obaa-san."

"What's with this change? You don't have to bow, silly. I cut up some fruits, let's go inside."

Izuna glanced up and watched her enter a house beside the wall. He stood outside for a moment, observing the outside of the home before entering.

-----------------------------

"Ah!" Kushina sighed in relief as she sunk into the couch. "Minato, join me." she patted the couch next to her.

Minato smiled, hanging up his jacket before flopping down next to her.

Kushina laid down, placing her head in his lap. Minato played with her hair as she looked at her fingers and frowned when she saw a broken nail.

"Hey, what was the deal with Obito-kun today?" she asked.

"Maybe he's just tired?"

"No, I don't think so. He seemed really off today. Like a ghost had possessed him or something." She giggled at her joke.

"Don't be dumb. Ghosts aren't real," he sighed, dropping her hair and staring at the ceiling.

Kushina sat up and stared at him. "Why, something wrong?"

"Not exactly...But I'm kind of worried about the next mission Hokage-sama assigned us."

"Why?"

"Well, it'll be their first mission in the war. I don't know if they'll be ready for it. I don't want anyone to get hurt."

"They'll be fine," Kushina smiled. "They're strong."

"Really? I thought you'll be worried about Obito-kun." Minato replied.

"Hm...he's a pranker, but he has a nice heart. He's positive. But today..."

Minato nodded. "Yeah, I get it."

"Anyway, where's the mission?"

"...Kannabi Bridge."
