Albia's POV
"Finish him!" "Focus on your goals!" "Go! Go! Go!" "Do not hesitate!"
Those are the words that I hear every single day. Watching duels together with my sister Zamira has become my routine. We learned to appreciate swordsmanship eversince we were kids. Our mom Brigitte has been training and teaching us.
"What are you doing? Stab him!" says the random audience. The winning fighter dropped his sword.
"No need. I'd still win anyway." he said while checking the pulse of his opponent.
"Seems like he's dead." he added. The crowd started to yell the winning fighter's name and they gave him a round of applause
"Aries! Aries! Aries!" the audience screamed.
"Well, this guy got skills." Zamira complemented.
"Indeed." I replied. I clapped for him. He did really well.
"Congratulations! Aries Parker for winning the duel today! Well played man." the host said.
After announcing the winner, Zamira and I went home. Harsh as it may seem but no mercy is existing in this world, if your time comes, you just need to accept it. Nothing can stop that from happening.
"Mom! We're home!" I screamed. I went closer to her to give her a hug.
"So who won the duel?" mom Brigitte asked.
"Aries Parker." Zamira answered. "He just owned the show." she added.
"Hmmm male again." mom said. I sighed. Mom doesn't want us to participate in the duel and I don't know why.
"What's for dinner mom? I'm so hungry." Zamira cried while untying her hair.
"Oh hang on girls!" mom said and went to the kitchen. We sat and waited for our meal. I looked at my sister's blue eyes. I wonder why I didn't get those eyecolor. I envy my sis.
"You should untie your hair more often now." I said. She laughed.
"Sorry? Why?" Zamira asked.
"It makes you more gorgeous." I said and then winked at her.
"Thank you Albia but we'll look like twins if I do that." she said. I glared at her.
"I wouldn't mind it. They could easily distinguish us with our eyecolor." I explained. Ughh! I really envy her blue eyes. Mom said I got my eyecolor from our father who died on war.
"Here comes your dinner, beautiful creatures!" mom yelled and brought our dinner.
--Few moments later--
(At the Bedroom)
"Zamira?" I called.
"Yes?" my sister answered. I've been meaning to ask her about this.
"Why do you think mom doesn't want us to join the duels?" I asked her.
"Mom? Hmmm I don't know either. Maybe she just wants us to live." Zamira said.
"You really want to try it, don't you?" she added. I nodded.
"For what reason?" she asked. To show my skills I guess?
"I-I just want to give it a try." I said. I have a weird feeling that it's my obligation.
"Albia. Promise me one thing." Zamira said while holding my hand.
