like the color in her soulless irises.
laying on her duvet covered canopy
bed looking as if she was a lifeless
cadaver, the anemic girl ignored
the pain and tried to tell her innocent
friend that going the hospital would
only make it worse for her.
"kiyoko-chan," her whispers
was barely audible when her
pretty head felt like it was
spinning, ". . . don't take me
to the hospital. ." her legs felt
as if they had perished into jello
yet with ever word hiromi spoke
had intertwined with terror.
flashes of the horror of how
she was now painted from head
to toe with discolored, purpling
skin traumatized her even more.
her heart rate was quickening
and anxiety bursted within her
like a balloon. hiromi wanted
to laugh at herself right now,
how was she still alive?
"KIYOKO-CHAN.

kiyoko could see through hiromi's
lies no matter how hard her friend
tried to hide the painful expression.
she took an ice pack wrapped in a
floral handkerchief and placed the
feeling of coldness on the plastic's
forehead; a worried look plastering
her beautiful and natural face.
"still! hiromi let me take you
to a doctor now, this could be
serious—" before kiyoko could
even continue, the fake beaut
weakly pulled out a pill bottle
from her nightstand. gazing into
kiyoko's sapphire jeweled eyes,
hiromi restlessly shoved the
medication to her friend before
she tiredly plummeted down
into the feather-like beddings.
