Abu Musa (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to me,
"Shall I not guide you to a treasure from the treasures of Jannah?" I said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah!" Thereupon he (ﷺ) said, "(Recite) 'La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah' (There is no change of a condition nor power except by Allah)."
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
Recitation:
"Sayyiduna Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said that dhikr of 'La hawla wala Quwwata illa bil lahi Al 'Aliyyil Atheem (There is no might or power EXCEPT with ALLAH , The Most High, The Supreme [in Glory])' would purify you of power, it would cure you of power. In other words, the idea that you have got power is to be sick. It is a sickness.
Fate is not in your hands so when you affirm that you are powerless and that ALL matters are in ALLAH's hands, the matter returns to Allah, the Best disposer of affairs!
Whenever you're feeling sad, depressed, stressed or even just unhappy, repeat 'La hawla wala Quwwata illa bil lahi Al 'Aliyyil Atheem (There is no might or power EXCEPT with ALLAH , The Most High, The Supreme [in Glory])'over and over for instant relief.
Sobhan ALLAH, you can actually see, right before your very eyes, the stress and sadness being alleviated, from the person reciting it.
A sign that it's working is, the person will take a deep breath (sigh of relief). It was at that very moment that ALLAH lifted the weight off their shoulders.
Can you change your current situation that is causing you all of this stress? No? Then why worry about it? Why not turn to Allah and Say "Oh Allah, I have no power to change this, Oh Allah You have full power to change this, Oh Allah, then You change this for me because You are the Most High, The Almighty." (This is the true meaning of La hawla wala Quwwata illa bil lahil Ali al atheem)
