It was dark, very dark. The moon was the only source of light, shining through the tiny window on the ceiling. Judging by the size of this room and the ceiling's structure, I could say that this is an attic. My sore eyes could barely see anything.

In this tiny attic, my lungs were hurting by the indecent air. As my hands tried to reach for anything on the floor, a hard thin paper touched against my fingertips. When I reached for the paper, the moon was finally being useful.

From my sense of touch, the paper felt like it was crumpled for years. With the faint light, I could see the paper looking extremely old by the decomposed ends.

It was a message. There were letters on it. Somehow, the colour of the ink awakened my mind. "It was handwritten with... Blood?" As I was shocked by the colour stained on the paper, I threw it across the room. The message that was written with blood-looking ink was hard enough that the paper actually flew far and landed on the corner of the attic.

I could felt my body shaking. "Is that really blood? Who in their right state of mind would write with blood?!" My mind spoke a thousand words. No words came out from my mouth without stuttering them. It shivered me when I realized that in this dark nowhere attic, with a message written with a blood-looking ink, where even am I?!

My sanity started to go low. I gasped for air. My eyes couldn't focus to almost anything despite how panic I became. At this rate, I might as well pass out. I feel scared! Who wouldn't in this situation??

When something fearful haunted your sanity and mind, it could already makes you having illusions. Right now, I feel like something is standing in front of me, standing like a human.

Someone or something is trying to open the locked door. The sound from the door knob being rotated aggressively broke my sanity. All I could think was how fears and panics are going to kill me. When it stopped, the room was filled with silence. Then, a lullaby music started playing out of nowhere. My heart skipped a beat.

                     ***

I've always had people I trusted around me except my best people, Luke, Rose and Nicolla. But few of them, their secrets were very well-protected. Growing up, I couldn't control my ability . I always read people's ’ secrets without my intentions. But as I'm growing older, I uses them for the better good. These people... Marilyn, Jeremy, Owen and Fabian... Just what happened to them? No secrets could be pry open from any of them. Which brought us to here, The Luca Mansion. According to Nicolla, this mansion holds many secrets. Coming here was a fortune to us. Turns out, there were more than 4 secretive victims.

Unfortunately, bad incident happened. Luke backstabbed me. I didn't even realized, for all these years I've been friends with him, I never tried to pry his secrets or rather... I couldn't..? Nicolla on the other hand, disappeared for nothing. I have always knew she was never born with a strong mental but disappearing just like the wind is doubting me, were we even related? Rose.. So far is the only one that stayed by my side but after everything that had happened to us, can I still trust her?

I have been studying The Lucapellas for now... Except for me, anyone that dealt with the family, are secretive and will stay secretive even if they die. The fact that reading secrets is my only ability, it's getting in my way to break all the secrets in this mansion.

By the time you're reading this, I'm probably dead. If you happened to be in the same situation I am in, I will lead you the way so that there will be no more victims by The Lucapellas. I made sure that before I died, all the secrets in this mansion had been broken except for the livings and the dead. Escaping just from The Luca Mansion won't change anything, The Lucapellas rules the entire Lurian. The safest empire to go to is the Narcas.

Do me a favor, my fellow. If I help you escape from this empire, you will at least pry all the secrets from the livings and even the dead. Following my leads will first bring you to my ally, Rose. She will be your guidance throughout your escape from Lurian. Tell her I still couldn't bring myself to trust her even after I die but for the sake of the citizens, I had to.

I'll warn you on this one, never trust The Lucapellas, even Luke.  If you perhaps happened to meet Nicolla in your journey, I'm not sure if she is still alive but... Please, tell her that I've always loved her as my sister. Also..! Make sure everyone in this world know The Lucapellas' secrets so that no more livings will be their victim. I might as well go to my sleep now...

Sincerely, Elijah.

Sighing was a sign that my sanity had come back to me. "If only I had calmed down a bit earlier... I should’ve read this earlier instead of passing out for hours…" My tone sounded more human-like now. But not going to lie, if I seriously calmed down more earlier, I wouldn't sweat like hell I am right now. Besides, the heat in this attic is slowly killing me.

Looking to the morning light above me, "I wonder if it's already morning now... I need to start my move as soon as possible..."
