I woke up the next morning, held tightly against Dusty. Dusty is 14, 5'10, dirty blonde hair, warm chocolate brown eyes, and well built. He plays football and basketball, so of course he has the body. Muscular arms and legs and four-pack abs. I had my back to him and his arm was slung across my waist. I listened to his breathing. He's always been 'the best friend'. Don't get me wrong, he's hot and all but he's never been one for relationships, though I don't know why, he's a sweetheart. I laid there content until I felt him stirring.
"Morning sleepy." I said, smiling.
"Morning." His voice thick with sleep.
"I need to go." I whispered.
"Why?" He asked, confused.
"I just do." I said, crawling out of bed.
"Don't go." He said as I closed the door. I walked down the stairs and out the door. I hopped on my bike and headed home. I opened the door, for some reason I was relieved.
"Lexi?" Jace yelled.
"Yeah." I said back. He was there in a minute.
"Where the hell have you been?! Why haven't you answered your phone? Who do you think you are, going off for the night without asking? I was worried fucking sick." Jace half-yelled at me. Shit, I forgot I turned my phone off.
"I'm sorry Jace. I went to a party and turned my phone off. I forgot to turn it back on. Dusty drove me to his house, I didn't have much of a say in where I went." I replied, telling the truth, just not the whole truth. Jace sighed.
"Did you get drunk?" He asked with his eyes closed and one hand on the wall.
"Not drunk, but I had too much to drive safely." I said evenly.
"Ok. Next time don't turn off your phone and tell me if you're going to be gone all night." He said, opening his eyes.
"I will, no worries." I said going to my bathroom to take a nice, long, hot shower. I didn't do much the rest of the day, just tried to keep my mind occupied. I woke up the next morning to my phone blaring.
"Hello?" I mumbled.
"I'm taking you shopping. Be there in thirty minutes." Dusty said and hung up before I could reply. I got up knowing it was no use to go against him. I got dressed in some cute basketball sweats and a comfy basketball hoodie. Then, slipped on some black Converses. Brushed my hair and threw it up in a cute, messy bun.
"Hey." Dusty said, walking into my room. You guessed it, no one knocks around here.
"Hey. Why do you all of sudden want to go shopping?" I asked, getting right to the point.
"I figured we should both get out of the house and do something." He answered.
"Fine." I whined.
"Come on." He smirk and drug me out to his bike. He has a motorcycle himself. It's dark blue and really pretty. He climbed on and started it. I climbed on, holding onto his waist. We rode all the way to the mall.
"Where you want to go first?" He asked as we walked in.
"Follow me." I smirked evily. He dragged me here so, I get to drag him around.
"Where?" He asked hestitantly. I grabbed his hand and dragged him to Victoria Secrets.
"I need a new bra." I stated and smirked at him. He sighed, defeated. I grabbed like twenty bras and went to the changing rooms. He reluctantly followed. It was pretty much deserted here, since it just opened. The clerk was behind the counter doing a crossword, not paying attention to us. I tried on a bra and walked out.
"What the-" Dusty said, eyes huge. I smirked.
"Look good?" I ask innocently.
"Uh, yeah." He said, looking down and scratching the back of his neck.
"Thanks." I said, going back in the dressing room. I'm not shy to say the least. I put my hands on my hips and walked back in to the changing room. I got dressed and came back out. I bought the bra and dragged Dusty out of the store.
"What was that?" Dusty asked bewildered.
"What do you mean, child?" I asked innocently.
"You know what I mean." He growled softly. I put my lips so close to his ear I know he could feel my breath.
"Payback." I whispered so softly and in a flash I was three feet away looking in a window of a random shop. It was a minute before he joined me. I smirked to myself.
"I'm hungry." I said and skipped off to the food court. He sighed but followed. I heard girl giggle the stupidest giggle ever. I turned around and guess who I see? Yup, Kyler and some slut hanging off his arm. She had horribly dyed blonde hair, which she was twisting like a bimbo and smacking on gum while looking at him with murky brown eyes. I almost threw up. I heard Dusty growl behind me. Before I knew what happened, Dusty ran up to Kyler and pinned him to the wall. He was growling at him and saying something but I was too far away to hear. Then Dusty punched him square in the nose, I could see the blood from ten feet away. Dusty said something else, pushed him hard against the wall and walked back to me.
"What was that about?" I asked suspiciously.
"Payback." He smirked, throwing my words back at me. I growled.
"If you don't tell me, I'll make you pay for lunch." I retorted. He hates paying for stuff, he's stingy with his money.
"Ok." He shrugged. My mouth flew open.
"Fine, keep secrets from me." I huffed and crossed my arms.
"It's nothing, come one, let's eat." He said, leading me to the Subway. We ate lunch and walked around a bit. Nothing exciting happened and we didn't see Kyler and Bimbo again. We are currently laying on a blanket at the park.
"We'll you answer me one question Lexibear?" Dusty asked, using the puppy dog face. I of course, totally fall for it.
"Fine."
"Why did you kiss a girl?" He asked, taking me completely be surprise.
"Ummm.." I shifted umcomfortably.
"Tell me, please?" He begged.
"I don't know honestly. I guess I was just wanting to do something out of my comfort zone. It was a one time thing." I answered truthfully.
"Ok." He said, nodding, lost in thought.
"Can I go home now?" I asked.
"Sure." He said distantly, getting up. We walked to his bike silently. I really want to know what's going through that blonde head of his. He dropped me off and said good-bye before drving off. I went in to my room. At 6 my parents were home and mom was making supper. Dad, Jace, and me were in the living room watching t.v. We ate supper talking about our day. Perfect family picture, right? Wait for it.
