biting his lower lip harshly, chenle shut his eyes tight as he held back from sobbing really loudly at the words jisung is telling him.

i regret not showing you enough. i really want to make you feel at home here, feel loved, feel like you have a family to return to.❞ jisung then let out bitter chuckle, not realizing that his tears were already betraying him. ❝too bad, i didn't have enough time to make you feel that way.

and not to mention how late he was in realizing that he had already fallen for this angel right here.

now, i'm going to wake up without having you by my side. i'll have to look out for the baby alone without your help. i'm going to burn the kitchen without having you around—❞ the younger's voice started to crack once it was chenle's turn to wipe his tears. it didn't help him calm down though. instead, it made jisung sob even louder. ❝i'm g-going to be m-missing a family m-member.

ji..

chenle, please don't leave us.❞ regret started to haunt him. ❝just when the house is lively, just when i'm slowly starting to have a family on my own, and just when i have a wonderful, caring, loving, and beautiful..❞ jisung paused for a moment just to give chenle a smile despite of the tears filling up his eyes. ❝baby papa.

why did he send it in the first place when he'd regret it in the end? jisung overestimated himself. he actually thought he could deal seeing chenle leave but he couldn't. he was just holding himself back but now he couldn't help but regret everything he had done.

the stork stared at the emotional scene before heaving out a sigh, ❝you could have at least mentioned that before sending the mail.

remembering what he did made jisung tighten his grip on the shorter's hand, ❝i'm sorry, i sent it without thinking twice and now—

you're regretting it because you finally realized that chenle is part of your family and you don't want to let him go.❞ the stork finished his sentence.

he then stood there as he eyed that two looked like they had no plans on letting go of each other. putting up a smile, the stork looked over at chenle. he would always feel bad for the boy. sometimes he blames himself for not convincing chenle's family back when that kid was still a baby. every single day he'd think that what if he got to convince the boy's family and delivered him successfully. seems like fate had other plans and he couldn't help but be happy for him.

well then chenle, guess i finally had delivered you to your family.

chenle couldn't make up a face as he felt himself breaking down from the stork's statement. that was what he wanted to hear ever since and now he finally got to hear it. ❝hyung..

chenle, welcome to your home!❞ the stork happily raised his wings up, almost hitting a vase inside jisung's house.

facing jisung, the younger chuckled when he saw chenle uncontrollably crying. he raised his hand up and went to wipe those tears again. jisung wasn't hurt seeing the older crying because he knew those were tears of joy. he then leaned down and placed a soft kiss on top of the crying boy's forehead. ❝welcome home, chenle.

i'm—

"let me go jaemin! i'll just have a talk with jisung!"
