Smooth
Reflective
Sometimes big
Sometimes small
Usually found hanging on a wall
They observe people go about their daily lives
They see the good,
the bad,
and the ugly.

They watch girls stare at themselves through the reflective surface,
and cry out in anguish.
For people forget that in the process of gazing in the mirror,
a person alters their image,
and can ruin their happiness.

They are subjected to the verbal abuse people spew at the reflective surface,
unable to speak,
for they have no voice.

They watch helplessly as people ruin their bodies,
their minds clouded with self hate.
They scream and cry for the people to stop,
but only silence fills the air,
mixing with the heavy stench of iron and stomach acid.

They are trapped,
unable to say or do anything,
cursed to watch in horror as people consume themselves in loathing.

Metallic
Cracked
Suffering in silence
They offer a reflection of what is set in front of them,
but have no power to act on their own.

Helpless they observe people go about their daily lives,
from their place upon the wall.
They see the good,
the bad,
and the ugly.
