I slowly rise, from my bed, I stare into his deep blue eyes, I hear my breath rapidly panting, and my sweat falling from my forehead.
"Umm, w.. w.. who ar.. are y.. you?" I eventually say. As I gulp, the clasp of fear, hangs on me, too afraid to even consider the possibilities of who and what he might want.
"Well, will, I am your wish." He said calmly and confidently, with a small smile that creeped across his face. What? My wish, but what does he mean, I just look at him confused and bewildered.
"You wished for you're life to start over? No?" He asked as I realised, it was all coming back to me, I did wish that my life went differently, but I most certainly didn't know it could.
"Yes? I, I did?" I replied but I was still rather confused, and above all I was really hoping this wasn't a dream.
The man presented his hand within it was a red button, displaying the word 'restart'--
"Press this button William, and your wish will become true, you will become one day old, you'll have the memories of your 35 year old self, but you will be a day old," he explained "there are rules however, of course. And breaking of these rules will mean you'll be here again, in this terrible life" he continued. My eyes lit up with joy, a chance to restart life? This is amazing! But
"What's the rules" I asked.
"Well, rule number one, you are not allowed to tell, or give clues that you have restarted your life, you must not, show that you know any and all future events before it happens, as which means you cannot prevent someone's death by telling them they shouldn't go. And rule number two. you are allowed to show some more intelligence, then the age you are, but you are not to show drastic intelligence, that would be impossible" his tone changed from calm and collective to quite aggressive. But I had no other choice, I needed this, i needed to press the button, it was the only way, the only thing that would make me happy, the only way that I would be successful and the only way I could help people who need it.
"I'm in" my hand hovers over the button, slowly lowering it. Click, I pressed it, darkness. Silence. Peace.
