"Come on, Bella."

"I can't do it."

"Yes, you can," he said, "or I wouldn't be teaching you."

He grabbed her right hand in which she grasped her wand, and explained it to her for what seemed like the thousandth time.

"It's a simple happy thought, and then two words to go with it," he explained.

"Expecto Patronum," she replied.

He nodded. "Try it again."

"But why?" she complained, "why do I need to cast a Patronus?"

"Because I want you to," he argued.

"But I can't do it."

"Bella," he began, " you've made it this far. The only thing that's left is unforgivable
curses."

Her eyes widened. "Unforgivables?"

"Yes, Bella," he said impatiently, "now would you just try one more time?"

"Okay," she sighed.

He watched her curiously as she pointed her wand towards the floor and cried, "Expecto Patronum!"

A gleaming silver boa constrictor slithered out of the tip of her wand, and she gasped with delight. When she noticed that he hadn't said anything, she turned to look at him.

"What did I do wrong?" she asked.

"Nothing," he replied, his gaze locked on the Patronus.

"It's just, your Patronus."

"What about it?"

He pulled out his wand and pointed it towards her Patronus, and she watched as his Patronus slithered towards hers.

"It's the same as mine," he answered, and they watched as the two snakes slithered off together.
