chapter 1

Emily's POV

It was a full moon today meaning I have to go through that excruciating pain even if I didn't want to. I couldn't control it because it was a full moon. I cursed God for making me have such a silly gene mutation. I grabbed my spare clothes and headed out of the house to the little bush located just ahead of my home. I didn't want to wake my mum and my little siblings up. Mom was already worried because she knew the pain I normally passed through. You might be wondering why am going to the bush instead of staying in the house. Well once I change I become extremely primal and destroy things now I wouldn't want to destroy our little home. The first time this happened was two years ago . I was sixteen years I had just returned from working a night shift at the diner where I worked. It was so painful. I felt like my whole body was on fire. I ended up destroying my whole bedroom and kitchen. We had to renovate the house. I was so scared but as time went on I learnt to live with it. My secret is that I can change into a wolf whenever I want. So basically I am a werewolf. I have heightened sense of smell and sight because of this. I am also relatively very strong.  The sound of my bones cracking brought me out of my thoughts. A large white wolf was now standing where I was.Yep my wolf is snow white. She began sniffing the air for any available meat. This is what always happens on full moon she comes out and begins to look for meat. It was almost Dawn when i called to her Aden can I return it's almost Dawn and I have to work she simply nodded and soon I was back on my two feet. My wolf was like my best friend I always told her everything and she always gave me strength and courage when I was down. I remember the first time she talked to me I thought I was going crazy. It was after my first shift I had just woken up from fainting. My mom was in the room with me. I suddenly heard finally your awake nice to meet you. I screamed. I asked my mum if she heard any voice and she gave me this funny look and asked if she should take me to the hospital that i sounded exhausted. Promise me not to shout and I will tell you who I am I heard the voice again. I just nodded. Am your wolf Aden the voice replied. To say I was freaked out was an understatement. I was damn shit scared. I ran very fast back to the house so I could nap a little before my morning shift would start. I worked at a diner two blocks away from here. My little siblings biting of my face woke me up from my slumber. I stood up and stretched to rid of all the ache in my body. I checked the time and shit I was already fifteen minutes late I couldn't possibly not bath because after the shift yesterday am sure I reeked of dirt. If I loose my job so be it I muttered. By the time I was through I was already 30 minutes late. I sprinted down the stairs and met my mom in the kitchen where I grabbed a bottle of water and an apple. Morning mom I greeted. Since I was already late I decided to skip breakfast. Bye mum I hurriedly rushed to the door. Emily my mum called making me stop dead in my tracks. I watched her approaching me and she smiled and held my cheek. Come back early I have something to discuss with you also have this waffles I packed them since you woke up late and I figured you wouldn't have time for breakfast. Awwn mum ur the best mum bye I said and sprinted of to my workplace. I guess being a werewolf had it's peck. I arrived at the diner at a record time of 4 minutes when it could have normally taken me 10 minutes. I used my hand to run down my hair as am sure  a bird next was threatening to form from all the wind when I was running. My hair was really a handful. As I entered the diner I noticed that my boss wasn't around. I spotted Jamie giving me the I will kill you look. I just smiled at her. Thanks bestie I mouthed. Jamie was my best friend we have known each other for practically 7 years. She knows that I am a werewolf and she has been there with me all this years. If not that Jamie was the one covering the shift am sure I would have been a goner by now. I went to the dressing room and changed out of my blue hoodie and put on the diner's uniform and my apron. Thanks for not telling I said when I stood next to her. Consider yourself lucky next time you will really be a goner. I smiled and hit her shoulder am sure you won't let that. She smiled and then said of course I wouldn't let that. The day went by quick and I soon found myself walking back home. I opened the door just to find my mother sitting in the living room like she was waiting for me. Woah mum why aren't you at work I asked. What she says next almost throws me of balance.
