Quigley's POV:
I walked up to my brother and hugged him.
He looked at me surprised before hugging back.
I pulled away, looking into his eyes.
"Why didn't you tell me?" I choked out, in an attempt not to cry.
I watched as Duncan shifted uncomfortably.
"I didn't tell you because you were happy with her.
I didn't want to hurt you or Violet, so I pretended I didn't care.
I tried to prove to you that I was strong.
That I was happy for you." He finished.
I held my breath, and waited for it to steady.
I watched as Violet came up and hugged him.

Violet's POV:
I handed Beatrice to Isadora and hugged Duncan.
"I need to tell you guys something." I muttered as I pulled away from the hug.
"Quigley, I really really like you.
I like Duncan a lot too though" I said.
"I thought that maybe if I got with Quigley, my feelings would go away" I paused.
"They didn't.
Even as Quigley and I dated, I still felt part empty, so I found ways to fill myself.
When I saw you today, blushing, I realized that I still like you a lot.
It hurt that you were moving on.
I know that it's selfish of me to want both of you, but I can't help it."
I finished, trying to read Duncan and Quigley's expressions.
My brother came up and hugged me.
I guess it was just the day for hugs.
Quigley forgave me right away, but Duncan frowned.

Duncan's POV:
I was frowning.
I tried to find words, to tell Violet what I feel.
Finally I settled on some.
"Violet, I had to watch you be happy every day.
You've hurt me so much.
I am finally forgetting that part of my life, and I don't want to go back.
I love being your friend, but I think that friends is all we can, and should be.
I don't want to hurt you and I don't want to be hurt.
If I was with you, both of us would get hurt some way or another.
I'm sorry, but I've made up my mind."
I stopped talking and brushed past Charley, Isadora, Bea and Sunny.
I walked to the library, and greeted the new librarian.
She was no Olivia Caraban, but she was still nice.
I grabbed some random book on journalism and read, until I forgot about everything.

Charley's POV:
I moved to the side as Duncan walked past.
I wanted to go after him, but I knew he needed time.
I walked over to Violet.
"Let's watch something to distract you" I said, magically pulling out candy and chips.
Violet smiled weakly at me, but we sat on our beds, watching Twilight.
Maybe not the BEST movie choice, but she insisted.
----%%%%----
I woke up to a knock on the door.
Netflix was still on.
Violet and I must've both fallen asleep before the movie ended.
I went to go open the door, when I noticed Duncan's shoes weren't here yet.
"Strange..." I looked through the little hole in the door that shows you the person on the other side and I whisper-shrieked.
I ran, woke everyone up and told them to hide.
Then I went to the door and opened it.
Everything suddenly went black.
