Well, even if I were to try to run away from them, they'd catch me eventually, no?
I probably wouldn't say anything about it, unless it were to benefit me in some way, hm. But, I guess the outcome of my fight with Sasuke would have been different, knowing that my then partner is an Uchiha.
Let's say I didn't trust most of them in the beginning, I didn't see how capturing the jinchuurikis would have achieved world peace.
