"Soulmate" ( Part 11 )

"Why?"

"Because, you were the first one who came up to me. You were also there for me. I don't usually cry a lot, like you do, but at my sad moments, you were also there with me. You were also there in my happiest moments. You were with me 24/7. You never left my side.", Haechan confessed.

I never really thought of him being sad... I always thought he had the best life. I guess the happiest person is the one who feels the most sad.

"You're... welcome.", I said looking down.

She lay down & slowly drifted to sleep. I smiled, & felt so sad. Why am I even here..?

《 Y/n POV 》

I woke up without any signs of Haechan. I sighed & heard stuff from downstairs. I quickly went the kitchen & saw Dad making breakfast.

I felt quite angry with him. He walked closer to me & hugged me tightly. My brains starts telling me to leave, but my heart said that I should stay.

"I'm sorry... about yesterday. I didn't mean to underestimate you...", Dad said, kissing my forehead & whispering sorry's to me.

"It's just that... I was worried for you. I've already gone through much more things than you. You... you're just my little sweet daughter. I don't want you taking care of us during your teenage years. I want you to go out there & do teenage stuff.", he said.

He did had a point. He does know much more things than I do. He've gone through much more things than I do.

"It's okay now Dad. I understand now.", I said hugging him back.

We quickly calmed down & a question came up into my mind.

"Where's Mother?", I asked Dad as we ate breakfast.

"She's in the hospital.", Dad said as we continue to eat.

"Your friend, Haechan.. we talked for a while.", Dad said.

I suddenly felt worried about it.

"So what did you talk about..?", I asked him as I gulped.

"I said that I wouldn't really mind if you're his soulmate.", he chuckled.

I rolled my Dad & felt cringey.

"What did he say?", I asked Dad, knowing Haechan's confidence level is over the roof.

"He said 'So when can I plan our wedding?'.", Dad said, mimicking Haechan's voice.

I felt embarrassed about what he said.

"Well, Haechan is Haechan. He's just too confident about himself.", I said as I continued eating.

I heard the doorbell rang remembering it's Haechan. Dad opened the door & they suddenly gave a weird look to one another, as if they had their own language by using their eyes.

I quickly covered myself with my hands & continued eating. I heard them taking their seats.

"So, how's your sleep yesterday?", Haechan asked as Dad gave him breakfast.

"So you're just gonna ignore what you & my Dad talked about yesterday?", I asked Haechan.

His eyes widen & he said, "Why? You like me, don't you?"

My eyes widen & I scoffed, "You're so confident about yourself!"

We both laughed & continued eating. Afterwards, we said goodbye to Dad & we rushed to school.

"Well, I'll predict I'll fail that final exam.", I said to Haechan as we walked back home, taking a sip of our coffee from time to time.

"Absolutely.", Haechan said, messing up his hair.

"About my suprise.", I said, wanting a few hints from him.

"Oh, well, it's gonna be risky, but you'll still love it.", he said as he gave me an 👌-sign.

I didn't trusted him.

"How risky is this? Are you gonna get us in jail?", I asked him.

He laughed & said, "Maybe?"

He chuckled as I start hitting him, scared if he's kidding or not.

"Anyways, I've been thinking about..."

"About what?", I asked him.

"Well...", he looked nervous.

"Nevermind, it's not important anymore.", Haechan said as he shrug it off.

I felt worried about it.

"You sure?", I asked him.

"Yep, very sure!", he said.

"Really?", I asked him.

"Extremely sure.", he said.

"If you say so...", I said feeling suspicious about him.

We continued to talked as we got home. It felt like hours walking back home. After a while, we got back home.
