No-Confidence & Mess

"Oh, Thank god" Dad said throwing his arms in air.

"Where" Ma asked.

"Ask me gain on wednesday I will tell you." I said and left from there to go to my bedroom.

The next day turned out to be hectic with all the finer details of the no-confidence and I had no time to even think about the on-coming date.

It was wednesday(THE DAY), I stopped infront of Kruthika's potrait to talk to her.

"May I come in" I heard knocking.

"Yes" I said.

Nirvana entered with Karthik. Just the two people I wanted to see. My Son and friend who are both my lucky charms.

"Papa, I made you this" Karthi said and handed me a card.

It was 'All the Best' card with so many colours. "I love you Papa, Maasi said You have a very big exam today...Don't worry Papa You will get 100/100" Karthi said.

"Thank you Karthi" I said and hugged him tightly.

He ran out after I said this showing he is just a 6 year old boy who doesn't understand the gravity of the situation.

"How are you feeling?" Nirvana asked.

"Anxious...Scared, Terrified actually" I said.

"Good, That means you will give your 100%" She said.

"Go on, Talk to her, This is your dream which you shared with her...I am sure she is sitting in heaven and scaring the people there." She said.

"That would be so much like her" I said smiling.

"All the best Karan" She said giving me a hug. I hugged her back tightly and hid my face in her neck. We stayed like that for a while, only to be disturbed by a knock.

"Are you both coming down, we are getting late" Maanav said.

"Yes, we are" I said after which he left.

"Thank you Nirvana, I don't think anyone would do what you do for this family" I said.

"Don't mention it Karan, I will go down come after talking to her" She said leaving me alone in the room.

"It is our test today Kruthika, You handled these issues and you taught Maanav very well, He is handling these issues very well...I wish you were here but you gave me nirvana when you left my side...She takes care of the family and you know Karthi even called her 'mamma'...maybe it was sub-conscious but he is accepting her...I miss you" I said and touched her face.

I had my breakfast and left from there I reached office along with Maanav in record 30 minutes. My assistant told me that everyone had assembled in the conference room.

I stopped infront of the huge doors of the conference hall took a deep breath and nodded towards the person who opened the door. 

I walked with confidence and saw the people who were sitting and not greeting me and made a note of them.

I sat at the head of the table when pen and paper were passed along with the ballet box. We all casted the vote and a short break was announced. It took them exactly 30 minutes to come back.

"After the counting of votes it has been decided that Mr.Ranawat will remain the CEO of the company. Mr.Ranawat won the voting 60 to 40. Congratulations Mr.Ranawat." He said and left the room.

Everyone congratulated me, After that Maanav and I came to the cabin to discuss further.

"We need to deal with others...How do you want to proceed?" Maanav asked.
