*Third Person P.O.V*

Daryl lay down in his tent, reading some books Andrea gave him. He was listening to some of the group talking outside. Something about letting him rest while they continued to look for Sophia. Daryl wanted to help but with his stitched side and injured head, he couldn't do much till it healed. So he lay there and read one of the books.

"Hey, Daryl, we are going out to search again for Sophia."

Daryl grunted, "yea, whatever.....have fun tryin to track her without me."

"I know you want to go and help, but we have to wait for you to heel. If you go out before you're ready, that could be damaging."

"Whatever, I just want to be left alone."

"ok"

Rick closed Daryl's tent back up and walked off. Daryl turned onto his uninjured side and thought about hi life before the world went to shit. One  thought was of Eden. She was this upbeat, lively, beautiful girl who always seemed to put a smile on Daryl's face, even if he was in a bad mood. Her long dirty blonde hair was always up in a ponytail or a braid, and her big blue eyes always shone when he would talk to her. Those were his best memories before this shit happened. she would come over to his house and make everyone in the room settle down and behave for once. Merle never took orders too well from anyone, but he did from Eden. Daryl's dad was always abusive and always getting drunk. However, when Eden was over, he was so polite and friendly to her which surprised everyone. I think it even surprised his dad. She brought out the best, even in the worst, people by being sweet even though she was far from it when it came time to fight. She would fight like just like them when she needed too. One fond memory he had was of her beating the fuck out of his once best friend Trey. He had made a sexist comment. He remembered the look on his face when she turned and threw the first punch.

Daryl sighed and shifted to his other side and started picturing the last day he saw her. She had hugged him and said she would return as soon as possible. Merle and Daryl both worried about her going off to Atlanta even though her brothers would be there and could very well protect her. Daryl just wanted her near him so he could protect her since it was the only way he could show he loved her. Sure he could have told her or shown her but that would be too simple now wouldn't it.

Still, he had been too afraid of rejection from her, so he kept quiet and showed her his love by always being there for her and protecting her. Now that she was gone, he didn't have anything to live for other than his brother, and even then, he wanted to fucking die. she was his world, and without her, his world slowly began to crumbled around him.

Everything about her was perfect to Daryl, the way she walked, talked and held herself in a bar fight. Most of all, he loved her laugh; when she laughed hard enough, she would let out a little snort which she hated, but he loved. Then, of course, she calmed him by just holding his arm. She would whisper things to him to keep him calm and from fighting. But when she knew the ass hole was provoking him deserved it, she would cheer him on, and on some occasions, she would join in.Daryl closed his eyes and drifted to sleep, dreaming of seeing his Eden again.
