My phone used to be a source of happiness. Every time it lit up, I felt my heart lifting a little higher. On the other side was a rose-tinted world, full of beautiful things and people that loved me. That was before. Now, everytime that phone pings, gone are those little insignificant day-brightening feelings. Dread. I didn't know what I was going to wake up to next. The feelings that made my heart skip a beat just from swiping up a silly snapchat hardened beyond my control. The first time I felt that betrayal from someone who loved me, and I loved back.
