PRUFROCK PREPARATORY SCHOOL
3 MONTHS AFTER SEASON 3

Duncan's POV:
'Just when I think I'm getting used to it, things change. You may think I'm thinking about when Quigley showed up on the mobile home. Or maybe you're thinking about when the same balloon lost the one thing that kept us hydrated. No, the only thing I'd thought of for days, was back. Why not me?'

'When Violet, Klaus, Sunny and Beatrice (Bea) found us, -about two months ago- dehydrated, exhausted and looking like rubbage, Violet ran straight to Quigley, not even shooting a glance my way. Isadora told me it'd be fine, and they're probably just good friends.'

'For a whole month I stayed cooped up in the room I shared with Klaus. Even an hour around Quigley felt like an eternity. I knew deep down it wasn't his fault, but I couldn't help but place the blame on someone. Perhaps Violet, but everyone knows I can't keep a grudge on that girl for a minute. Therefore, Quigley was then one to be blamed.'

'It's been two months since my brother started dating Violet. I'm happy for them, truly. Don't get me wrong, it hurts like heck. When I was younger, there was this book I used to read. I believe the title was 'Signs you love someone' or something weird like that. I read it way too many times to count. Anyways, back to the point. Somewhere in that book, there was a fact. It read "The biggest give away is when the person you think about constantly thinks about someone else constantly, and you are happy for them.'

'Isadora told me to move on, but to who? Carmelita? I'll pass. Violets friends just aren't my type either. I might not ever find someone, but I'll do whatever it takes to make Violet, Sunny and Bea happy. I'll let Izzy work her magic on Klaus.'

'Up until recently, volunteering was never really my thing. I may sound quite selfish to you, so please let me explain. Actually, I cant. Perhaps I am just selfish and jealous. Ever since the :incident:, I have volunteered for every event that will get me away from the lovebirds. Currently, I am on my way to Vice Principal Nero's office. Something about a tour for a new orphan. Maybe he would like to join our little group of 7 orphans. An even number never hurts.'

I hesitated by the door and slowly opened it. When I saw the student sitting in the office room with the principal, my jaw dropped. As soon as I realized I was staring, I snapped my attention back to the vice principal, who was now gesturing me forward. "Please sit, Duncan"

The World Is Quiet Here

AN: Sorry if this is really bad. It could be because my hands are full, so I'm multi tasking. Or because I'm exhausted. Or because this is my first story. Enough excuses, thanks for reading! New part coming laterrr!
